Update: Because I'm crazy I made mock-ups of the two options -- imagine a black roof. Door hardware will be matte black or oil rubbed bronze:
(ETA: All the mock-ups died with TinyPic so you'll just have to cope with the actual pic!)
This will be for our new addition. The original house is red brick with white siding on the dormers and black shutters. The new middle part and bedroom addition on the right will be white siding/trim with black shutters. The roof is dark grey/black.
Option 1: Door and sidelites red
Option 2: Red door, white sidelites (will blend in with the porch/siding)
Option 3: Red door, black sidelites:
Here's the front view of the house: So the part on the left is all red brick below the roof, and the middle and part on the right is white siding. Below is a pic from how it looked pre-addition:
Here is some red door inspiration I had squirreled away, which now that I look at it all have white sidelites:
And a similar porch style:
ETA: Here's the final! It's a brighter red, the sun was behind the porch.

Agree - Red w/white sidelights. I'm glad you posted the inspiration pics b/c I wasn't digging the look in your mock ups. Just goes to show that sometimes you need to see it in context.
Do you have a fixture selected for the porch area above the door?

Ha, I've just been looking, but I'm open to suggestions. Porch lights can be surprisingly cheap! This is one I like so far...it's only $89!:
Red door (door only, not the frame) and white sidelights. I like the look, and it’s easiest to change if you decide to do something different later on.

I like it! I Paid like $250 for a similar light years ago and it needs to be repainted. Meaning, I’m not sure paying a premium for outdoor fixtures is worth it.
I’d do the same color as the door or a close match to your siding. We struggled with this as well, but our door was entirely surrounded by brick, so the sidelight is the same blue color as the door. It looked weird to have it white with nothing next to it to transition.
The black looks cool, a little more modern and young. If you want to lean in that direction, go black. If you want to keep things pretty conservative/traditional, go white.

This! I think that having just the door red will be so much more impactful as well.
That's perfect dr.girlfriend , thank you. I LOVE it! We need to replace our hardware because right now our keyless entry and door handle are two different finishes, I was looking at black and what you chose is like exactly what I've been looking for, I might steal it
