1. How far along are you? 31w4d
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I’m continuing to feel good (large doses of iron are helping). I sorted through the huge box of boys clothes that a friend of the family gave me and had to LOL since it is all size 2T-3T. I guess I’ll be storing that for a few years. The baby’s room is the last room that I need to clean up and organize since we moved in last month. I finally finished the china cabinet and my sewing room this past weekend so I am feeling fairly accomplished.

4. What Are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) This past weekend we really felt the loss of our pool at the new house. In the last house we would have had 2-3 families over during the course of the weekend to partake of the pool, drinks and burgers. It was a really big part of our social calendar in the summer and obviously is one of my favourite summer activities. Instead we went to my Sister’s new place (with a pool) and mooched off her. DD spent over 2.5 hours swimming, which is bonkers.

I finally have my a/s tomorrow and for some reason I'm feeling nervous. Probably because they didn't have an appointment available to me for when it was supposed to be scheduled (19 1/2 - 20 weeks) so the extra wait has given time for my anxiety to kick in. I really wish my ob had let me call to schedule the appointment earlier than 18 weeks so this wouldn't have happened.

4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well)
Swimming, picnics, festivals, dining al fresco in the evenings, impromptu gtgs with friends.

1. How far along are you? 31+2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Ever since being put on an iron supplement about 6 weeks ago, I'm nauseous constantly which really sucks, especially since I was never really sick during 1st tri. But, starting today, I'm going to take it at night to see if that helps. So far, I don't feel sick this morning, so I'm calling it a win! Also, I'm so ready for summer to be over although we still have 2 more months and August is our worst month because of the heat. I'm so tired of being hot constantly.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Eating all the ice cream hahaha. Normally though beach time, yummy summer cocktails, etc. All the things I haven't can't enjoy this summer.
Hi! Hope it’s OK if I join you ladies. STM here on west coast time.
1. How far along are you? 10+6
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Ready for 1st trimester exhaustion to be over- I keep thinking I have more energy and then I do something small like take my toddler to play group and am wiped the hell out. Grateful I seem to past the worst of the nausea though.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Enjoying the pool which we haven’t done much of, and eating ALL the ice cream, which I’ve definitely been doing my share of- I have essentially replaced alcohol calories with ice cream ones. Calcium, right? I love refreshing cocktails but haven’t bothered with many mocktails so that’s been out this year.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? This morning, 3 y/o DS asked 'hows my baby brother feeling today, mama? He's getting so big in there!' I can't wait to see him as a big brother, hes the sweetest.
3. Questions for the group? Ugh, I had one and I forgot it! I'll have to come back and edit when I remember haha
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Sitting by the pool, campfires, sitting out late at night, BBQing. Its been so unbearably hot I haven't done ANY of those things. This summer my favorite thing is laying on my bed under the ceiling fan with a sonic slush while DS watches tv haha.

slcjess yesterday DD asked when I’m going to have another nother baby. Her reasoning was since she is going to get a baby Brother then Baby Brother will need a Baby Sister too. That’s fair Mommy.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I am at the point where I am getting really uncomfortable. I have hemorrhoids from hell. I haven't been straining so I'm thinking it's just from where he is sitting so low. The worst is sitting on the toilet because it feels like he's going to fall out. My oldest son was like this too. I've tried tucks pads, hot baths, Prep H and nothing is getting rid of it. The only relief I have found after googling based on what's in my medicine cabinet is putting aloe gel on toilet paper and caking it on. The cold gel and the lidocaine is helping the pain.
3. Questions for the group? in line with the above. If you have any other recommendations on what to do to get rid of it other than what I've tried, I'm all ears. This has been going on for over a week now.
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) We love to go camping and to Busch Gardens. We also try to spend time at the pool on really hot days.

1. How far along are you? 25+5
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I’m going to do my glucose test tomorrow morning and I’m nervous...keeping my fingers crossed!
3. Questions for the group? What did you all wear for your baby shower and where did you get it?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Going to the beach or pool, cookouts, fires in the backyard with DH
slcjess yesterday DD asked when I’m going to have another nother baby. Her reasoning was since she is going to get a baby Brother then Baby Brother will need a Baby Sister too. That’s fair Mommy.
I mean , her logic is sound! haha. As the youngest in my family I always really wanted a younger sibling. Now I see its better this way though I am a baby of the family for sure hahaha
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Not much going on here. I have an appt on Wednesday to check progress. We’ll see...
3. Questions for the group? Nope
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) we basically live in summer here. But our actual summer kind of sucks, it’s either hell-on-earth hot or raining. I love our “fall” or even winter when you can go to the beach everyday and enjoy being outdoors

1. How far along are you? 10 + 2
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Just ready to feel better and have some energy.
3. Questions for the group? I'm sure I have some, but my brain is just not working right now. All I can think about is my next OB appointment tomorrow.
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well)
Right now, nothing. I live in the Deep South and the heat and humidity is OPPRESSIVE combine that with first trimester nausea and fatigue, I'm out. I feel so bad for my kids though so I sometimes brave the pool which thank goodness they keep cold!
I know I do not go here, but I love reading about my friends and their experiences, etc. Sorry for butting in!
dock, Baby Bjorn bouncer. Rock n play (recalled now...). Good stroller or baby wearing device. (bonus 4th: a good diaper pail!) stellelinds25, I just wore a black bodycon dress. Flip flops. Super casual, but we did a big bbq for a shower. I am sure people's answers will vary depending on their shower type.

1. How far along are you? 14 + 3 - Second Trimester, yay!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I've booked our early gender scan at an ultrasound boutique while we are on vacation. I'm just counting down the days. This will be our last baby (unless I work a miracle and convince DH to adopt). I'm leaning in to alllllll the pregnancy fun.
3. Questions for the group? None right now.
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Eating ice cream, going swimming, sitting by the ocean. The only one I've achieved is the ice cream so far. But, vacation is coming up and I will do all of these things!
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I was referred to MFM for a second anatomy scan, because there were a few things they want rechecked (cord insertion and echogenic bowel). My appt is Thursday and I'm just anxious and ready for some better answers.
3. Questions for the group?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Add me to the ice cream train! And lounging in a cool pool. And cookouts.

1. How far along are you? 24+5
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Had my last iron infusion today! My veins are shot and it was so time consuming but obviously worth it. I am hoping it holds the rest of the pregnancy and into first year because scheduling that many days off was a killer.
Also, our fetal echo and 2nd anatomy scan at the MFM doctor last week went great and he released us back to the OB to the remainder of the pregnancy!
3. Questions for the group?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) Summer in Florida basically sucks (pregnant or not) but we have gotten to the beach a few times. We've only lived here a few years and the daily wicked thunderstorms are still taking some getting used to. They are great at ruining outdoor plans We do have a Disney trip scheduled in a few weeks when blackouts lift so I'm excited about that!
dock a containment device (the swing being our most used), a breastfeeding pillow if you plan to do that (I find my breast friend a million times better than the bobby) and a video monitor, though I use mine sparingly in the early days.

3. Questions for the group?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well)
1. 19w1d 2. Ultrasound Wed, I feel like it’s been forever since we had one. 3. Did you do a gender reveal? If so, did you know before your guests or find out with them? We’re having people over for a BBQ Sunday and figured we let our friends know then. The party won’t be super centered around it, it’s more our first GTG at our new house. 4. Hanging at the pool, BBQs, beach, bonfires, drinking, (ha, not anymore obviously).
boymomof2- I haven’t had hemorrhoids in pregnancy, but I have had them from constipation in the past. Have you tried a stool softener like Miralax or Colace? Prunes? Usually those things work for me, maybe check with your OB but those things were on our ok list. Softer stools help the pain. Maybe a nice tush cushion.
@g22- I hope you get definitive positive news soon. <3

1. 35 weeks
2. We had our check up today and he is getting so big! 6 lbs and estimated to be about 8lbs 6oz if he goes full term. His head is almost fully engaged. Went over my birth plan and I can still have a water birth if my water breaks, which I was so happy to hear. She switched to 3D and he is too cute already. And has lots of hair. Can’t wait to meet him! Next appt is 37 weeks and I hope he comes by 39 weeks. 🤞🏽🤞🏽 I just need to pack my hospital bags and I think we’re mostly ready for him. I’ve started getting a few stretch marks and I’m so sad. But there’s nothing I can do. My belly is at the max for my petite self. I’ve gained under 10 lbs and he weighs 6 of those so 🤷🏽♀️🤷🏽♀️ I hope they go away after he is born.
3. No
4. Patios and beers, cottages, pools, and beers. Really missing those beers this summer.
boymomof2 mine were never truly terrible, but I ate a lot of prunes during my first pregnancy. I hope they improve for you, that’s the worst.
stellelinds25 I wore a “nice” maxi dress that I think I got at Macy’s. Very flowy and comfy but looked nice in photos.
dock the sleeping gowns with elastic bottoms and hand covers built in so that MOTN diaper changes you could just pull it up to their waist (assuming the diaper held) and not deal with zippers in the dark or devil snaps, kimono style shirts that don’t have to go over their heads, and a swing or other motion device. I also preferred my breast friend to the boppy but I didn’t use the back section just the front U.
dreamcrisp1 if you like ambers the Amber O’Douls isn’t terrible. I prefer wine generally but found even the “best” AF wine to be disgusting.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? i have an appt and my GD test on wednesday. eating all the cookies until then, lol. my spotting/bleeding has been gone for over a week now, so i'm pretty confident i passed the SCH and so happy about to have it gone!
3. Questions for the group? not right now!
4. What are your favourite summer activities? i'm a teacher, so i love 10ish weeks off and sleeping in, vacations, visiting friends and family, ice cream for dinner, grocery shopping during a weekday, same for random errands, the absence of the nighty grind and weekly prep can be done whenever! it's the best.
dock - swaddle blankets and sleep sacs for the early days, the pack n play on our main level (we're a townhouse, so this saved many trips up and down the stairs everyday, very helpful when recovering from my csection), and the baby bucket that clipped right into the stroller.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? Viability, so that’s exciting. I’ve had a lot of anxiety so that milestone helps.
3. Questions for the group? If you’re planning on a swing, which one?
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) My in-laws live on a lake so we spend a lot of time on the water, boating, jet skiing, etc. I’m not a fan of the heat while not on the water though so especially not while pregnant. I’m ready for fall!

sloan, I’m fortunate that I live in the Netherlands as I’ve been able to find some great 0% beers. Leffe, hoegaarden, brand weizen. All are very good. I’m just whining because I really want a regular hoegaarden on a patio haha but I shouldn’t be.
red, I started bleeding from my rectum last night so I got seen for it. I was told to take Colace to see if that helps improve things and to continue using the tucks pads or Prep H to help them heal. We'll see. If it doesn't improve they'll give me something stronger.
Hello everyone! I finally have to nerve to post in here. I've been reading your posts for a couple weeks now.
1. How far along are you? 7w + 1d with my second child.
2. Pregnancy-related AW/vents/randoms for the week? I told my BFF I was pregnant yesterday. It was a relief to tell someone other than DH and DS.
3. Questions for the group? Not so much a question as something I relate to. There was a post from a couple days ago I think about feeling 'connected' to the new baby and/or excited. I can relate to those who said they don't feel that way. I've known I was pregnant for 2 weeks. At first I kept it to myself, not even telling DH. I'm a teacher and I go back to work around 12 weeks and just the thought of telling everyone and answering their questions sounds like such a hassle. I'm not one to like attention to begin with, but I feel like I'm going to have a spotlight on me if that makes sense. I had PPD with DS1 and I'm worried about getting that again but I almost feel like I'm starting to have those feelings of depression already. I'm also not sleeping well at all. I either wake up after a couple of hours and can't get back to sleep or it takes hours to fall asleep. I have an appointment in 2 weeks and I'll talk to the dr about how I'm feeling and sleeping. I just feel guilty. Like I shouldn't feel this way.
4. What are your favourite summer activities? (Can be things you enjoy when not pregnant as well) This summer we've been going to our neighborhood pool almost daily. That and watching Handmaids Tale.
psychmom - i liked for you posting and joining us, not for the bad feelings you've been having. so sorry things feel hard/disconnected right now, but hope that talking to your doc helps. don't be afraid to call for an appt sooner if things start to feel worse!
