My first pregnancy was almost seven years ago, so it is surreal to be back to the first trimester again. I've had more physical symptoms than I remember from the first go-around, specifically lower back pain and period-like cramps. But those seem to have subsided this week as I start to feel queasy all day long. Good times.

Everything I eat goes right through me, so that’s fun. My boobs are still sore, and I’m bloated, but no nausea yet.
I have another US tomorrow morning, and I’m terrified it’s too early to see a heartbeat. But I’m going to Disney for a week and then on a cruise (also terrified of motion sickness), finally to AZ, so I’ll be gone for almost a month and this is the only time I can get in.
This is my third and no two pregnancies are alike. This is by far my easiest physically but the hardest emotionally with all the testing and DS diagnosis. My first I had extreme exhaustion right off the bat and morning sickness but was able to know my triggers. Brushing my teeth was one so I just had to build in time to get sick so I wouldn't be late for work. My second son I had exhaustion the whole time. I also had light morning sickness in the first trimester but then at 16 weeks ended up with Hyperemeisis. I had HG from 16 weeks to 24 weeks and the only thing that worked was phenergan. Since it makes you sleepy, I used my lunch break to sleep in my car. This pregnancy I haven't had any morning sickness whatsoever. I also had my energy almost the entire time. The only problem with that is I feel so good that I over do it and then start getting braxton hicks.
Great idea! I’m almost out of the first trimester (12 weeks today) and SO ready to be done with the exhaustion. I haven’t had a ton of morning sickness which is similar to my first- I got nauseous and could only eat crackers a lot don’t get me wrong, but never actually lost my ginger ale.
My OB is doing the 12 week scan when their neck is translucent tomorrow, so feeling a bit anxious about that. But assuming all goes well we will let the cat out of the bag afterwards.
I just got a BFP yesterday. We're at the beach with our friends and their two kids, and they're... LOUD. It's kind of got me questioning why we decided to blow up or easy life with our one 4yo.
Anyway... Hi, everybody! I'm ~4w 3d pregnant with my second. No symptoms yet other than crippling anxiety.
I also got a BFP yesterday. This comes after two losses earlier this year and a cycle on Femara. We're doing betas 3x/week right now and I'll have an ultrasound in early September.
Definitely feeling super anxious and scared. Both losses occurred just before/after 5 weeks so every day feels like an eternity right now. Based on LMP EDD is April 6 which puts me at 4w1d right now. Peeing on sticks like it's my job.
I'm so happy for you! Sending you all the baby dust.
Thank you!!
I didn’t announce as I am way too superstitious/scared. After two years of fertility treatments: IUIs and IVF and retrievals, somehow we magically got pregnant 6 months after giving it all up for good, so it still seems surreal. I’ve also been pregnant 5 times with only one baby, so I don’t know what the odds are that this one will be the one to stick.

I'm a little more tired than normal, but nothing crazy. My boobs are pretty sore though. I'm 8 weeks and don't have my first appointment for 2 more weeks! I'm so nervous that there won't be a heartbeat when we go in, but with back to school craziness I'm trying to keep my mind occupied.

It’ll fly by if you’re going back to school. Unfortunately, that exhaustion will be brutal!

First trimester is the.worst. 4 weeks between appointments, not feeling or seeing anything, and feeling like crap... I hated the not knowing. This time I was PAL so I was even more anxious and just willing the time to pass. Fingers crossed for everyone and that time goes quickly for you all!
Thinking of you Jalapeñomel. When will they have you come back for a F/U US?
Well I’m going away for a month, so not until I get back. Otherwise, it would be next week. Regardless, if it’s abnormal, there’s nothing to be done anyway, so I will live and let live for now, and I will assume it’s all good until it’s not.
Jalapeñomel! I don’t go here anymore, but wanted to say I’m so happy for you! This is how it happened for us too (old, failed IVFs, surprise) and DD is now one. 😄
Love of my life baby boy born 11/11. One and done not by choice; 3 years of TTC yielded 4 MMC and 2 CPs, through 4 IUIs and 2 IVFs. Focusing on making the world a better place instead...and running.
I get winded going up the stairs, it’s kind of ridiculous. Google says it’s from progesterone. I’ve been pregnant a lot, and I’ve never had this.
That happened to me this time around and I wasn't sure if it was due to age (I'm ama) or what. Thankfully it seemed to be primarily a first trimester phenomenon, as I don't have the same issue currently at 22 weeks. I'm sure it'll come back but I'll take the reprieve while I get it. Ha.
