Just a little FYI- seating in the Cantina (on both coasts) is almost non-existent so be prepared to stand. If you have whiny, little ones in your group, they might not enjoy the Cantina.
We got our Droid Depot reservation and I got DH a reservation at Oga's the night DD and I go to MNSSHP, but we're still hoping for a cancellation so all 3 of us can go together. Worst case scenario, just me and DD or just me while DD and DH build a droid (I'd love to go for that but I heard only one can attend with the builder?)

My understanding is the droid Depot has a spot/shop that is open to everyone and you could watch the builder from there.
Got DH an ADR for the night DD and I go to MNSSHP and got an ADR for me while he and DD build a droid. We figured this was the easiest way to do it, and DD doesn't care one way or another if she gets to go, which is helpful.
DH is moderately annoyed that light sabers are $100 more than droids.
I can't tell you about the parks, but some years it is tank top and shorts weather on Christmas....even for locals. The first year we lived here it was cool and rainy...I loved it. The next year I don't think I ever wore a sweater or jacket all season.
I don't even come from anywhere particularly cold, and it is very unChristmas-like weather to me.
Totally not the point of this thread- but do you go over actual Christmas Day? What are the crowds like? Is it warm enough to swim?
Not sure if I could ever talk my H into doing it, but I’d love to surprise the kids one year for Christmas!
Hi! We actually went this past Christmas and we were at Magic Kingdom Christmas Day. It really wasn’t as bad as I thought it might be. We didn’t have really any waits in lines for rides. We really enjoyed it so much that we decided to go back this Christmas.
However that being said, it really is all about managing expectations and I would probably not want to go if it was my very first trip to Disney.
ETA: we did swim in some of the days. It was great weather wise.
