Or IS IT?
lol
I am SO embarrassed. In the last installment of this saga, there was a tile I really liked online (H-Line in Pumice), but I found out the company went out of business last week. I found a place locally that sells it, drove down to see it, liked it a lot, and ordered it.
Tonight I got online looking for ideas as to whether I should pick a grout close to the tile color or one that's lighter. I'm looking at a blog post that had a kitchen that used this tile. I scroll down to see if they mention in the comments what grout they used, and there in the comments is....me. Five years ago, when I was renovating my kitchen, telling the blogger that thanks to their post I had just ordered the same tile.
Turns out this elusive white whale of a tile, that I drove to Delaware to see, has been in my kitchen backsplash the whole time.
Oh well. I had even told the contractor that if I couldn't find this tile I liked online I should just find out what I had ordered for my backsplash and get more of it, so...I guess I did. And at least my tastes haven't changed much in five years.
and so efficient! You can save some leftover tile, and it'll be handy if you ever need it in either room!
So are you doing the light or dark grout for the shower? The light (white?) in your kitchen looks great, but I try to avoid white grout in showers, floors, etc.
Really....when I was looking at the post I kept thinking that from what I could remember, it was really similar to your kitchen. Then I was second guessing myself, since if it was the same (or even similar), surely you would have mentioned it. lol

I have a box of it in my basement! It's the one thing that survived the purge when we cleared out our garage.
It's funny, when I brought the sample tile home I held it up to my backsplash to see how similar it was (before I knew they were the same) and it did look a touch more beige to me, but that might just be batch differences.
I'm going to do a grout very similar to the color of the tile, Mapei 77 Frost

The name of it sounded vaguely familiar to me too (the H-Line part, I don't remember the color Pumice at all), but I thought it was one of the ones I considered for the kitchen and then ended up not finding. I got my kitchen tile from Mission Stone and Tile, and I called them when I was looking for this one and they said they don't carry the Bellavita line so I guess they stopped at some point. I tried to look up my order from them when this first all happened, but all their emails just had the order number and the total price, and a link to the order details that didn't work anymore. But, I know for the kitchen I was looking for a light greige as well, so it makes sense I settled on the same one!
