How do I know if a mortgage broker is legit?

I was searching online for refi rates and came across a local mortgage broker. I looked them up in my state's database and on the NMLS website; they're listed and I don't see any adverse actions against them. But still, how do I have any idea if they're not scammy?

Can you check with the local BBB and maybe Google or Facebook to see if they have any reviews?
