I'm 29.3 today. I saw my ob first and then had booked Perinatal same day. She said to have Perinatal do a cervical length check by ultrasound when I went but the doctor was busy in the OR and seeing L&D patients so I never got to see him. The ultrasound tech said they don't do them after 24 weeks. I've been having Braxton Hicks for quite some time and they are becoming an everyday thing becoming more uncomfortable. The Perinatal doctor reviewed my ultrasound and called me directly to tell me findings. When I mentioned the BH and the doctors request, he looked through the screens and said that the baby is low, completely covering my cervix with his head. At this point he won't do anything because all of his options are for early 20 weekers not someone in the third trimester. I see the midwife next week and they will have to do a cervical check at their office. I'm measuring ahead at 30.4 weeks and baby is already 3lb 8oz. Everything they are saying is pointing to him coming early but I really need him to hold off until my due date because of work schedule, holidays and kids winter breaks with school.
