Of fucking course he does. OF COURSE. Because he is the worst. God I hope with everything I have that he loses that seat, his district is a tough one but even they are too good for him.
Also: SETH MOULTON IS DROPPING OUT! THIS IS NOT A DRILL!
Remember that time he tried to lead the charge to replace Pelosi? Lolzzz by Moulton
Boy do I ever. What a miscalculation that shit was.

Gillibrand officially out. I thought she'd try to hang in there until October, but I guess it was just delaying the inevitable. She was a really strong candidate in a lot of ways; I'm sad she never gained any traction. Link to her official statement on Twitter:

I’ll throw some blame at Schumer, too. According to that (bullshit) Jane Mayer article, Schumer was the one who told Franken he had to go or the entire caucus was going to call for his resignation. But Gillibrand is the problem, and he just skates by. She’s been one of the few people consistent on this issue over the years, but sure. SHE’S the problem.
I’m also perplexed at Klobuchar being in and Gillibrand out. I’m someone who is actively paying attention, and while Gillibrand was barely on the radar, she at least broke through occasionally and had a couple of really strong moments at the debates. I don’t think I’ve seen ANY coverage of Klobuchar aside from the salad thing, and she’s been a nonentity at the debates. I like her well enough, so I’m not pissed about it or anything. It’s just strange. Unless you remember the gd Franken thing.
Even though I know Gillibrand wouldn't have been the candidate, I'm still sad to see her go so early. Especially while so many other crappy candidates keep hanging around. OTOH, I'm glad we still have her in the senate and maybe she'll run again in the future.
I agree, it's puzzling that Gillibrand is out before Klobuchar. I kind of forgot she was running at all, and that whole salad lid thing, and how she treats her staffers doesn't look good. She's like female Delaney on policies.
