I’m in desperate need of a more supportive situation. If you have large breasts can you recommend me a bra that won’t just compress them? I’ve tried Nordstrom and Target so far, come up empty.

My favorite is the Freya core underwire bra. It’s pricey, but I’m a 32G and use it for running up to 5.5 miles at a time. It’s the first bra I have been able to run in without back pain after.
I also like the panache sports bra (don’t remember the model), which also supports me well while running. It’s a close second after the freya.

This. I know a lot of people don't want an underwire, but IMO, it's the only way to get no-bounce. I have trained for two marathons in this bra. 32F. I can't imagine wearing a compression type sports bra for working out ever again.
ETA: Actually, I just looked and mine is the Sonic, not the Core. Freya is still the best IME.
Moving Comfort (bought by Brooks running co brand a couple years ago). Juno style. Goddess brand makes another one that I really liked (it's the one on Amazon that just says "Goddess sports bra" as the title. I think Lane Bryant has some that look really supportive too, but I haven't tried any personally.
Im 34DD and really like moving comfort rebound racer. Eta: and since we're sharing, ive trained for 10 marathons, countless half marathons and a half ironman (under my tri kit) in that bra.
I'm not large (in fact, they seem to be shrinking...wtf...), but just giving another rec for Moving Comfort (now Brooks). They are well made, don't budge and last FOREVER. They are the only brand I wear now - and I've also trained for countless half marathons, 4 marathons and one half ironman in them.
They also have many styles with hooks in the back, which seem harder to find. Pulling a sweaty sports bra over my head after a long workout has put me in tears more than once.
I really like the Panache sports bra. Even the non underwire one doesn’t use compression (which is preferred with my 32F UK size). I do find that the underwire runs slightly smaller in the band.
I wear Victoria's Secret Knockout Ultra Max Front-Close Sport Bra and Incredible Lightweight Max Sport Bra. I do mostly high impact type workouts, including running and am a 34DDD.
I love my brooks/moving comfort bras, but if you're looking for something without compression I doubt they'll suit you. They aren't *just* compression, but there's for sure some boob squishing going on there.
Rebound racer was my go-to when I had giant milk boobs. Now I can get away with a lot less.

I don't buy my sports bras at those places because well - they suck for large busted women. I'd highly suggest going to a local running store. That's where I get ALL of my sports bras.

I recently bought a boobuddy and it has done more than almost any sports bra I've ever owned. I haven't tried it running yet, but I've used it for other high/mid impact workouts. I'm a 36E. I don't really care for the compression type bras, either. With the band, I can wear almost any type of sports bra and it works well.
So I don't do super high impact workouts - I'm a Pilates type of gal, so I can't attest to bounce. But, I feel like these would do pretty well. I am a 34E, and I like that these feel nice and secure without feeling squeezed or smooshed. Great bra for lounging too - if you are like me and like to contain things a little, but not in a full bra situation. lol
I have two bras from them. I'm not a runner but they hold the girls in place for burpees and other Crossfit stuff, and unlike most sports bras, doesn't give a uni-boob effect.
The thing I don't like about them though is the zipper in the front is a bit large and noticeable through most shirts. It's ok under a thick ribbed tank, but I had thought it would be cute under thinner yoga tops, but the zipper is lumpy. And there's a bump under those thinner sweat wicking workout shirts.
They are also kind of a pain to put on. Not enough to be a deal breaker, but I basically never wear them on days that I'm rushing to get ready to get to a particular class.
I would consider buying again, and I'd say that if the zipper lump doesn't bother you, then they are worth it.
Thanks everyone- my day got away from me and I’m just now checking back in. I’ve only used high compression bras up until now and I’ve just reached an age where my breast tissue aches if they get squished like that. I know I need a molded cup kind of thing but so much out there seems designed to be like bralettes. So frustrating. Thanks for all the great suggestions of where to go and brands to look for!
I am not a fan. I can’t get e good fit and I feel like I am lumpy at the top of the band is tight enough. Plus, I hate the way the zipper pooches out at the top and shows under my tanks. It also gives me a back/neck ache if I wear it for a couple of hours.
I also have one of the shefit stretchy lounge/yoga bras. It is comfortable and I wear it to sleep or for Pilates at home, but the zipper sticks out under my t-shirts so I feel embarrassed if I open the front door and talk to someone when I’m hanging out at home on the weekends or after work.

It really depends on what you mean when you say as large busted. I'm a 34HH which is different to a DDD cup. I haven't been able to buy a bra in a bricks and mortar store in over a decade.
