Tomorrow is the big neurologist appointment. Fingers crossed I can get a plan for testing and figure out what the hell is going on with me.
Also, I am very lucky to have the friends I do. They are going to pick my kids up and take them to the beach to play with their kids so my H can get some stuff done around the house. I wish I didn't have to work and could go with them.
I need ham like water Like breath, like rain I need ham like mercy From Heaven's gate Sometimes ham salad or casserole or ham that’s free range, all natural I need ham
I posted this on Home & Garden, but wanted to post it here too since I had asked for some opinions as DH and I were working on this project...
We replaced flooring with Home Depot's Lifeproof vinyl planks in "Shadow Hickory." Painted kitchen cabinets, replaced a couple of walls with shiplap, replaced the front entry railing. Painted doors/doorframes and baseboards. We did all of the work ourselves. The railing was difficult; I'm really proud of how it turned out. The rest of the project wasn't hard, just time consuming.
We have 2 days left of vacation and last night I came down with a sore, swollen throat ☹️ It’s not awful, and I think it’s post nasal drip (not any infection), but it’s so annoying. I’m hoping it doesn’t get worse until we get home on saturday.

Maybe try some Flonase to see if that helps with the drip? Otherwise tea and honey could help, I hope you are feeling better soon!

I had a mammogram this morning (just preventative since I have a family history of breast cancer). I treated myself to a bagel at Einstein bagels afterward, but they put almost no cream cheese on it! It was really weird. Like the whole bagel had been touched by cream cheese but you could see through it, it was such a thin layer. Not sure if that's an Einstein thing or just the person there, but I felt a little ripped off. Even though it was probably healthier for me anyway, I wanted cream cheese!
We have a rental car right now while our car is being repaired, and it's making me want a new car. The backup camera is SO nice. It is also showing me that I am WAY too conservative most of the time when backing up. I actually can go a lot further back than I think I can before hitting something!
wildrice that's how my H put cream cheese on and I give him a hard time about it every time. To me the cream cheese is pretty much the whole reason for eating a bagel!

That's so weird because I always feel like Einstein's puts on too much cream cheese, which is saying something because I LOVE cream cheese. Pretty sure it's just that person because I've never had a bagel there that didn't have plenty.
DH's wisdom tooth removal went well yesterday and he was in pretty good spirits all day. He was in some pain last night, but wasn't overly bothered by it and is just sticking with OTC stuff. We discussed him taking care of the kids this morning and I did check in before I left the house, but I hope he's doing ok.

Aww that's a bummer, then. Well, it was a bummer anyway, but I wish someone else made my bagel!
I don't usually go there (there aren't any convenient to me) but I expected a big smear of it, like when I get a bagel anywhere else!
I thought I had a pimple on my earlobe, but couldn't find a head, so was just leaving it be to go away on its own. Now my ear hurts and is slightly swollen and its oozing from my piercing hole. Only I haven't put in earrings since I got married 8 years ago. I'm not sure if it's infected or there's something in there and that's just where it's coming from. I can't decide if it's serious enough to warrant a doctor visit or not. I feel like they're probably just going to tell me to keep an eye on it. It doesn't seem serious enough to warrant antibiotics and I think I'd have to go to a derm to get it drained if they were inclined to do that. Blah. I don't want to spend money on this.

isabel that happens to my ears sometimes and I can usually clear it up by soaking a cotton ball in warm salt water and pressing it on my earlobe twice a day. All the gunk comes out and dries up within a day or two.
I'm getting a banner add on this site now that is for "Chicago: welcome home". It just made me feel incredibly nostalgic and kind of homesick, dang it. I miss having access to the city and seeing my family on a regular basis.
I am actually flying into Chicago on Saturday (is that why it's showing me that add?) but I'm only going to be there for like 4 hours so other than short visit with my grandma, I won't be doing anything "Chicago". I need to go back for a longer visit sometime but I have no idea when that's going to work out. Maybe next summer? Seems so far away.
I'm enjoying my last days of summer break before I head back Monday. I finished all of the tasks I wanted to do including organizing the ENTIRE house, like every drawer/cabinet/room/closet. I ordered photos, created a book, and made freezer meals.
I'm just sipping my coffee and the kids are still in PJs.
I don't know what to do with my day and I realize how lucky I am right now becaus my world is about to get really freaking hard when I go back to work and then H leaves for a month in the fall. Hammock time is happening today for sure. I want this feeling to never end!
lust2hart, what an awesome transformation! That’s a lot of work! We have a similar entry, and your railing is inspiring me to update ours. We had bamboo put in a year ago and now our old railing looks super shabby, and I’ve been trying to figure out what to do with it.

I have a driving question that I don't feel like making a thread about.
If there are 2 one way roads that intersect, is it ok to turn left at a red light? Ex. Going north on a one way road. Stop at red light and turn left to go west on another one way road.
I see this happen a lot near where I work, but I always thought it was illegal. Enough people have done it that it makes me think maybe it's not in these circumstances?

I have an event tomorrow night, a belated surprise bday party for my brother that his girlfriend planned. It is supposed to be like a dress-up "James Bond" type party (lol), because my brother has always sort of been that type, if that makes sense.
Since I don't usually have the chance to attend fancy parties, of course I didn't have anything to wear. I decided to try out Rent the Runway, received 3 dresses last night (2 of same style, diff sizes and 1 add-on dress). The dresses fit & I am thrilled!!! I am wearing the add-on dress today to work, since that is really more of a work dress not a party dress. I am so excited to have something different to wear for once that is not another BLACK DRESS! The dress for the party is a short, off the shoulder deep fuschia. So excited!

I was sitting on the couch last night when my bracelet randomly broke. I'm pretty sure the dog ate a pearl. Sigh.
I'm an idiot. A few weeks ago a company related to where I work reached out to me about a job, I filled out their application and submitted some information. I hadn't heard anything since so I put it out of my mind. Yesterday someone from that company asked me to make changes in their IT permission settings and remove "Susie". I chatted away as I did this, asking if Susie left the company, how much I enjoyed talking with her, etc. It was only after I hung up that I realized I had applied for Susie's job. Oops, I totally didn't put two and two together. I hope the hiring manager doesn't think I'm a bumbling idiot now.

You can in Florida as long both roads are one way and there are no signs saying not to.
