Thanks ladies. I need to just ask H. And I know he’ll say yes - he’s had no problem if I’ve run out to get a pedicure or taking them out so I can clean house before my parents come or something. I just need to not feel guilty about sitting in the house solo for an extended period of time. You know you need a break when you’re jealous of your sick spouse.
My super long legged lean girl is already outgrowing the only 4T leggings that are long and skinny enough. No way will she fit 5T pants in the waist.
I don’t have a girl so we’ve never done leggings but can you try regular size 5? The “T” is what makes the cut wider. And regular 5s are longer than 5T which might be good in your case.

This. Try a 5 or 6 in little girls size. I have a super tall (99%) 3.5yo who wears 5/6 little girls pants now. She’s 43 inches and 42 lbs for reference

Really? Interesting! I always thought T stood for toddler and assumed she wasn't into the big kid sizes yet, although I guess by definition toddlers are shorter and wider. I was wrong about the brand she currently wears though - no T, just size 4 (they don't make T sizes). I'll make sure to order the regular size from now on if a brand has both.

Wow, that is tall! A is the same age, but 39 inches and 31 lbs - most of her height seems to be in her legs.

The T generally means that the garment is cut to accommodate diapers or pull-ups, which makes them more generously cut in the waist and seat.

I feel ya. I've definitely longed for an illness severe enough that I'm forced to take a day off.
I was sadly excited when I had a surgery 4 months pp with C that I had to be laid up for 24 hours and baby free.

I would try xs in some brands of 'big girl' sizes. My dd is tiny (she's almost 8, and is 45 lbs and 46 inches tall). She can still fit into 4t and 5t pants in the waist, but they are way too short now. Target xs is 4/5, then small is 6/6x, and medium is 7/8. She can currently wear any of those sizes in the waist, but if I want the pants to actually come down to her shoes, we need the mediums. Old Navy xs is 4/5, s is 6/7, and m is 8. The smalls fit her perfectly, and mediums are still too big. Those are the 2 legging brands I'd suggest trying in xs for you, or s if the xs are already too short.
