President Trump has suggested multiple times to senior Homeland Security and national security officials that they explore using nuclear bombs to stop hurricanes from hitting the United States, according to sources who have heard the president's private remarks and been briefed on a National Security Council memorandum that recorded those comments.

One of the local weather people responded on FB. It is amazing at the level of professionalism. I am sure the dude was crying from laughing so hard while typing.
ETA: The local weather man's response above the link to a guardian article he posted about the nonsense.
“You actually can't do this. It's a really bad idea (for dozens of reasons). Also, storms are more powerful than nuclear weapons. A single hurricane uses more energy in 24 hours than the United States generates electricity in 1 year.
This is honestly a question I get during school visits or from others that I meet. ‘Why can't we just destroy the storms?’”
It seems the antics are escalating a lot. What are you trying to hide while you play squirrel with the world doofus-in-charge? This is what I want to know.

The briefer "was knocked back on his heels," the source in the room added. "You could hear a gnat fart in that meeting. People were astonished. After the meeting ended, we thought, 'What the f---? What do we do with this?'"
I snorted like an 8 year old when I read this yesterday.

“When asked why he had chosen one of his own properties, the president said that it was essentially a matter of convenience, given the resort’s close proximity to Miami International Airport.”
Because there are no other suitable places to host world leaders that are near international airports. 🙄
Also, Florida is just so incredibly convenient for leaders from Europe and Asia, which, you know, is where most of them are from.
Trump, talking about his U.K. properties, seems to suggest that his Doonbeg property is in the U.K. Doonbeg is in Ireland, which is not part of the U.K.
