A healthy 5-year-old should not be in a stroller at the parks. If your kid is wiped out after running around for 5-6 hours, you need to take a break and go back to the hotel for pool time and a nap or adjust your expectations. Kids do not have the same park stamina as adults and to expect them to be able to go 10-14 hrs without getting tired/cranky/worn-out is unrealistic.
The amount of strollers in the parks is already obscene and keeping perfectly healthy, able-bodied kids capable of walking in them is only adding to the congestion.
This is crazy ableist. My 6 year old is perfectly healthy but is on the autism spectrum and has pretty severe adhd and a stroller is both his preference and mine for a variety of reasons. None of which are your business or clear by looking at him. Maybe try being less judgmental?
I would say no, but someone STOLE our stroller on our last trip there (1.5 years ago). We put it outside for the frozen show in the stroller area and it was gone. We found it halfway across the park 3 hours later (I'm still bitter). It was not a very nice stroller and had my name on it with the flight tag still. It would have been easier to not have one to worry about. We are going in December and DD will be turning 5. No stroller for us.
