Apparently in New Zealand, employers are legally required to allow employees to bring a support person to disciplinary or layoff meetings. So a guy brought a clown.

It says he's an aspiring comedian, so maybe he views it as an investment in his next career.
And he's currently in advertising, and already has a new job lined up lined up with a different marketing firm. Yeah, I'm betting that he viewed it as an unconventional way to raise his profile in the job market. And it seems to have worked!
