Still not totally done but so much better! Old dining room: Table was too small for the space and for our needs. While the light fixtures fit the age and style of the house (1905 stone and shingle) they were NOT to our taste. Most importantly it was very bland in terms of color etc.
We went more mid century. Got a bigger table, replaced all the light fixtures, replaced the rug, and re did the stone work on the fireplace.
We are still waiting on the end chairs (upholstered, orange), and really need new art (big and brighter. Those 3 little paintings are just place holders). The fireplace still needs the paint touch ups from the work they did, and that darn keyboard will move to a different room soon. But it’s still so much better than before!
I’ll be asking for info on who redid your fireplace at some point in the future. Our living room fireplace has pink marble and an ugly white decorative border.
I’m also in the hunt for a light like your’s to replace the one above our dining room table.
Such an awesome space! I love orange and blue too - my living room is orange and blue
I thought you were doing wallpaper - did you have a change of heart?
omg the wallpaper saga. We decided on some art that wouldn’t work with wallpaper so instead decided to leave the walls and instead go for deep color on the rug etc. Then we decided against the art and are still looking lol. We are currently renovating a basement room and 99% sure we are doing wallpaper there, though
