They’re very busy right now accusing her of being a liar about being fired for being pregnant.
FFS...that was NORMAL back in the day. My bf's mom was fired from a teaching job due to pregnancy.
Not to mention their video “proof” doesn’t even contradict what she’s saying now. She talked about how she stayed home for a bit after she had her kid but didn’t say she willingly left her position.
Hey centralsquare, @bugginnine, mrsukyankee, can you put an @ tag on the pregnancy discrimination discussion?
And I'll also add, I feel like several of the recent attacks against Warren are totally backfiring. A bunch of men acting like pregnancy discrimination couldn't possibly happen in 1971 is just going to fire up more Warren supporters. Same with the "oh no, Wall Street is scared of Elizabeth Warren!"

Truth. I’m lukewarm on her. Nothing like men attacking her on gender based grounds to get me in her corner.

Yes, of course. I’m so sorry. I was in a rage from twitter being awful, and I forgot to add.
Thank you, smock. Edited to add @ and remove unnecessary wording.

Sorry. Done. I rarely post anything that needs @. Will remember next time.

I sincerely struggle to understand how anyone could find Warren “unlikable.” She is just so charming and her delivery is always spot on. She has a zingy vibe that I really dig and that moment was PEAK Warren.

Also y’all know I am not really a Mayor Pete fan, but having a candidate on the stage who is speaking to LGBTQ issues from a first person perspective means the world to me. I cried at his comments about this country not wanting his blood and vowing to reverse the FDA rules on sexually active gay donors. Today is national coming out day. This stuff matters.
@@@
That issue is also really personal to me because the same rules prevented us from using our known donor when we transferred to working with a fertility clinic after I couldnt get pregnant at home. The FDA requires special (expensive) testing and quarantine if the sperm doesn’t come from your “intimate partner” (you’re not sexually active with them) but the bank that does the quarantine wouldn’t accept his sperm even for a directed donation because he is gay. We ended up having to switch to a bank donor which wasn’t at all what we had envisioned.
Presidential candidates often keep a running list of influential individuals who they will informally call for ideas, advice, and, perhaps, to scope them out as a potential running mate.
And for several candidates, including at least one in the top tier, former Tallahassee Mayor Andrew Gillum is on speed dial. Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-MA), in particular, has been in contact with Gillum over the past several months, multiple knowledgeable sources told The Daily Beast.

This makes me SO angry for you. I’m so sorry you have this bullshit on top of the physical havoc and mindfuck of IVF, &c. It’s so needlessly discriminatory.

@@@ seeyalater52, I know you've gone through a ton of discrimination during this entire process, and I'm so angry on your behalf. I never even thought of THAT aspect of it. We have so much further to go.
Gillum as possible VP has made my day. This would be a phenomenal ticket.
I hope it’s Abrams or Castro. I want Harris as AG, if she’s not the nominee.
I would be very happy with either of them and Harris for AG. I have a bit of a soft spot for Gillum as my almost governor. Harris is still my number one, just not sure she is going to make it.
