Debate predictions: 1) Biden will be asked about Hunter/Ukraine/China 2) Sanders will be asked about his physical fitness for the job considering his heart attack 3) Buttigieg will go on the offense directly hitting at other candidates because that's his thing this week apparently 4) People will wonder who Tom Steyer even is and how he bought his way on to the stage 5) Yang will bring up his free money spiel and will not wear a tie
I just can't believe there are going to be 12 people on that stage. It'll be a mess.
I'm actually worried about Bernie's health. How can he be ready for this? It makes me really uncomfortable that I have to watch a man with a serious heart condition be put under stress for a couple hours. I want him to leave the race but not actually physically suffer, especially right in front of me!

Can he at least have a stool behind his podium? This can’t be healthy.

Bakari Sellers agrees with exactly what some wise women here have been saying all along: “Kamala Harris has to run faster and jump higher than anybody else in this race. She cannot be equal to Elizabeth Warren or Joe Biden; she has to lap them." <As much as this makes me want to rip my hair out, I don’t, because I truly believe She’s Got This> Can Kamala Harris turn her campaign around? Tuesday debate offers a chance www.sfchronicle.com/politics/article/Can-Kamala-Harris-turn-her-campaign-around-14521506.php

I can’t picture any of the other candidates going after Trump the way Kamala could. I can’t think of a better figure to take over the helm of this increasingly constitutionally lawless country than a former DA/AG. That the left tarnished her as a “cop” early on is an example of how much trash the left can be.

I’ve watched the last several debates streamed on YouTube. It sounds like this one will not be streamed live on YouTube but will only be streaming on cnn dot com?
Thanks for sharing. I like this part... shows a lot of her character - and a lot about the times.
He took her out to dinner with a few others on the hiring committee. They went to his favorite restaurant, a steakhouse called The Stables.
In a story that quickly made the rounds among the faculty ― and that Warren later retold at his funeral — Smith ordered a steak, even though his arms were so weak he had trouble cutting it into smaller pieces. The waitress usually helped, but this time, when the steak arrived, Smith pushed the plate over to Warren and ordered her to cut it up for him.
“I guess it was his way of testing her to see how easily she would be manipulated,” Mixon recalled.
Warren just stared at Smith.
“Can’t you tell I’m crippled?” Smith told her.
“I thought you knew that when you ordered the steak,” she coolly replied.
Everyone at the table laughed, including Smith, who advocated for Warren to be hired.
Sitting at that table full of men who smiled as Smith pushed the steak her way, she knew what she would have to endure to teach. “I knew it from the first minute,” Warren said.
I live in Westerville, just a few miles from Otterbein, and I’ve been following some of the local news of the demonstrations this afternoon. Seems like things are relatively peaceful, but it still makes me nervous with people walking around with rifles and body armor just because they can.

Same! I’m really glad I didn’t have to go into Uptown today.

The wife of one of my coworkers works in uptown and had to go in today. He said she was planning on just walking to avoid traffic

After yesterday's debates, I would like to see Klobuchar and especially Castro in the November debate. Both have met the donor requirement but not polling, and it seems like a tall order.
And yet, Steyer has already made the November debate. Fuck everything.
I’ve decided I’m not watching anymore of the debates. There are some really great candidates and then there are some total fucking clowns and until the clowns are gone I can’t handle it anymore.

I probably shouldn't admit this here, but I haven't watched one yet. It's too much.

same. I am not at all decided but I can get recaps here and on NPR. I do not want to watch until it is significantly narrowed down.
I also haven’t watched the live debates. Maybe a short Twitter clip here and there. I’ve followed along on Twitter and on this board - I prefer reading to video/audio if I have the choice.
It’s also very discouraging voting in a later primary election where it really doesn’t matter much who wins in my state. The general election is also kind of a letdown, honestly, since I don’t live in Wisconsin or Florida or something.
I still vote of course, and I still pay attention to what the candidates have to say ... but the election system in this country needs fixing in so many different ways. Voter suppression and gerrymandering especially, but also the Electoral College and primaries and such.
