In the general, I will happily vote for her, Warren, or Castro, and would vote for the others in varying degrees of begrudement (that's not a word, is it?).
eta: I love that you're graphing this ufcasey. It will be interesting to see how things change for Buttigieg in this poll.

I'm all for Warren, but I'm 100% behind that top 3 as well.
I’m having such a hard time getting on the Warren train just because I can’t help but think about how OLD she is. Not in a sexist way, I think this about Biden and Sanders too. For 19 of the last 27 years, our country has been controlled by someone born in the 40s and it is just so depressing to me that the next 5-9 years will be as well. I wish more of the “younger” candidates were polling better.

There's room on the Harris train.
Thats the train I’m on. I’m just depressed that the 3 front runners are in their 70s.

Voting for the home team
I’ll be very interested to see whether Harris can win California, especially since we moved up our primary. If she can’t carry her own state, she’s doomed.

Warren is still my top pick, and Kamala is a very close second. Castro is an easy #3. Then an I'd-be-pleased-to-vote-for little group of Booker/Buttigieg/Beto/Klobuchar. Then MUCH further back, begrudgingly Yang/Biden/Steyer. Then in the please-don't-make-me-do-it pile, Tulsi/Bernie/Williamson.
I'd like to see Klobuchar doing better but Harris, Castro, Warren are a good top 3.
I loathe Bernie Sanders simply because some of his supporters are so loathsome.
There was a guy on NPR this morning who was a self-described Bernie Bro, but is now a "Pete Fan-Boy" who also like Biden. I think I gagged while he was talking.

The media isn’t helping constantly touting the polling of Biden/Sanders/Warren and leaving Harris out of the conversation completely.

Oh, so who he throws his support behind is totally all about policy and has nothing to do with gender or color. Obvs.

LOL I heard him this morning as well.
I will caucus for Warren. I will be equally thrilled if the nominee ends up being Harris.

I am still voting for Harris. I am a bit disappointed her polling isn't better at this point. But I still believe she has what it takes to win the election. But I'll be happy with Warren and Castro too.
Still Castro. It’s frustrating to see so many people like him, but his polling doesn’t budge. I don’t get it. He’s running low on money too, so I’m nervous.
I really think Warren can’t beat Trump. She’s going to “take away your health insurance” and “charge you more for it.” I like her but I am shocked she is the frontrunner and Democrats seem to be willfully blind to her serious general election liabilities. (Same goes, as it always has, for Bernie.)
Do you honestly think America is going to go for a plan that elminates private health insurance? I mean that sincerely. Sell me on this/her. Because I feel like this is an issue that could easily torpedo general election chances.

So, I think because Warren is in govt, she'll move some to the center. I don't think her plan will work they way it's written, so it'll be tweaked. Unlike Mango Unchained, she'll move once she realizes a compromise is needed.

Do you think she will move to the center in the general? Will the left flank issue a mutiny if she does and vote for whatever crazy McLefty is running for the greens?

I mean that she'll move center once in office. My only caveat to this is if the Senate swings left. If she has a Dem Congress, she's totally going forward on her plans. I think Sanders' health scare has done him in if we're being honest.
I remember being in line in 2008 and the GOP switch overs in front of me were saying they couldn't vote for McCain because his age meant if anything happened Palin would run the show. I could be wrong, but that seems like the logical move by leftists who like Bernie but feel Warren will outlive him.

He’s never been able to break out from being very likable and “towards” the top of people’s lists to the #1 spot.

I think Warren will move more towards the center. But I also think that she has the ideas and can come up with an incremental plan to get from where we are now to where we want to be with health care. People are so hung up on wanting to keep their own private health insurance. But do they want to keep paying these high premiums? Are you sure your current insurance is so great? And why does health insurance have to be tied to your job? And how many people don't qualify for affordable plans because of pre-existing conditions. That is the whole point behind any M4A system, if you only do it half-way and say people can keep their health insurance if they want, you are not going to get the same kind of cost savings as when everybody is covered by some basic insurance.
I really wish some of the health care proposals would look at how health insurance is done in other countries. Even though most countries are much smaller than the US, they could still be a role model. How is it that the US has the most expensive health care in the world? For instance, when we lived in the Netherlands it worked this way. Everybody gets basic health coverage for free (you pay more income tax there to pay for this and for free/cheap education). Then, when you work and your income is above a certain threshold, you are required to get supplementary insurance for the adults in your family. There is a website (open marketplace) with many private plans that offer this. Plans differ in price and what they cover (dental, some cover fysio, some cover acupuncture/alternative medicine). Every year during open enrollment you can choose to stick with your plan or switch. When you visit your dr, dentist, or whatever, there are no OOP costs. We would sometimes get a dentist bill after the fact for $5-$10 for a teeth cleaning because we picked a plan that didn't cover all. OOP max for the year was around $400.

I'm not all in on Warren, but I'm honestly not opposed to her healthcare plan. It's probably because we're lucky to generally be healthy and not need a whole lot, but I don't think our plans are all that great anyway. We pay a boatload every month on premiums and still have deductibles in the thousands. I'd rather see a tax increase that ultimately nets me a cost savings and "free" insurance.
I'm not opposed to other ideas, like keeping private healthcare and creating a medicare for all plan as well that allows people to pick what they want, but Warren's plan isn't scary to me.
