If you have cut cable and saved money by doing so, what WERE you paying (monthly) for cable, Internet, and streaming services prior to cutting the cord? And, as a bonus, feel free to share in the comments what you spend now on the same things (Internet, streaming, whatever other monthly costs you consider to be part of that stuff).
I always wonder when these threads come up because I don't think our cable/Internet bill has ever been over $150 a month so it seems like getting rid of cable wouldn't really help us once we add in the cost of streaming services.

We don’t do it to necessarily “save” money but we never watch actual Tv. We always stream everything. I’m so used to streaming, to have to set shows to record on a DVR sounds harder than just watching them on Hulu.
We do save money though, about $150 after all streaming services are paid.

Well, we *tried* to drop cable this summer, but, they threw more credits at us. We're down to ~$105 (pre-tax) for maxed out cable package (all the movie channels, HD channels, sports channels), the best internet speed we can get from our provider, a VOIP line, and 2 wireless DVRs.
Can't beat it with a streaming service + internet, so we'll hang out here until that changes.
ETA: We already pay for Netflix/Prime/Hulu (though, dropping this one soon- we just did the BF 99c/month deal).
Our cable alone was around $170. Now we pay something in the low $50s for YouTube TV and $15 for HBO. After all the changes we're saving a little over $100 a month.
We also have Netflix, Amazon Prime, and Hulu, but we already had those before we cut cable, so that wasn't a change in spending.
Introductory prices weren’t bad but then when they went up after a year it was $190. We also have phone because DH works from home and the cell phone was not good enough for conference calls.
Now it is $130 for internet and phone. DH probably has it as a high speed for work.
We only have Netflix so that is whatever Netflix is.
We do have Prime but we had that when we had cable and probably would have it either way.
We also have Netflix ($12), Hulu ($1, but that was a Black Friday deal and it will be going to like $8 in a couple of months), and Amazon Prime Student ($6). If Disney is available on Firestick we’ll get that too for $7.
By the time I pay for everything I'd need to cut the cord it would be about the same price. Since I'm lazy, I still have Uverse and internet. I pay about $190 for both all inclusive. I have a medium channel package but no premium channels. I do have Amazon Prime. I could reduce my bill by about $20/month by going with a lower speed for internet access, but I'm a tech geek, work from home, and love having GB Fiber.

I haven’t had cable since I lived in university. We were just priced a cable package to our new house and it would have been over $135 per month. Instead we pay $63 for unlimited internet. No phone anymore since our cellphones work at this house. We pay an additional $14 for Netflix, BIL pays for Prime and we share the accounts.
We have cable and internet through Comcast and currently pay $122. We are on the 2nd year of a new customer promo so idk what it would cost on year 3.
We also have Prime and Netflix so I guess that adds up to just under $150? We do get HBO and Hulu from time to time but cancel when shows we watch end their season.
I priced out some of the streaming packages that include sports and local TV last year before we got Comcast, and Comcast was actually cheaper over 2 years with the promo. I will price it out again when the promo ends and see if we want to make changes.
One of the reasons the bundle is cheaper is because just internet is really expensive. I can't recall exactly but i think it would have been $70-80 a month for a normal speed that works for streaming. I think the days of internet only being low cost are ending.
Prior to cutting cable we paid over $250 for internet, cable, Prime, and HBO. We have only one option for cable where I live and pay $100/month just for that, plus $40 for Hulu live. We cancelled HBO after GoT ended, and didn't renew Prime, but I did get a year of Showtime for around $150.
We were paying over $200 for cable and internet AND Amazon Prime and Netflix. Since dropping cable, we have added Hulu and DH has some sports thing for UFC flights (which he also had before when we had cable). We now pay $106 for internet and then maybe another $50 for streaming. I shouldn’t count Amazon Prime and Netflix in that because we were already paying on top of the $200 before. We will re-evaluate all of this soon when the Disney Hulu thing starts. However, DS may move out if we drop Netflix and he has to give up his Power Rangers. (Which is some of the worst 90s TV I have ever seen!! Cringe worthy, but he loves it 🤷🏻♀️)

With cable and internet we were roughly at 100 dollars with internet. We currently get Netflix through T-mobile so we pay 2 dollars a month, we have prime- which I don’t count since we would have it either way, and I signed up for Disney+. Our total is 49 dollars. I do add Hulu or Starz for few months when Handmaidens tale or Outlander is on, but that only adds 5.99 a month for 3-4 months. Edit I agree with what someone said above took hate watching real tv now with the commercials. It drives me nuts.
Ugh I need to do this. We pay around $225 for cable and internet including HBO and a few other movie channels. Then we also have netflix ($12/month) and prime ($120/year). We use the roku almost exclusively, but a few channels we watch (History, CNN, Starz) are all accessible through our cable login which is why we haven't sorted through how to make it cheaper for us.

This is one of the reasons I'm not sure we'll give up cable.
Comcast's internet service sucks. We have frequent outages. We are getting Ting fiber internet in the spring and plan to switch to it, but it's $90 a month. So if I add in any sort of streaming service, I'm basically back where I started with cable and internet anyway. If DH can find a good way to watch certain sports (mostly F1 and Hockey) that doesn't cost a ton, we may drop cable entirely once we switch internet providers, but I'm not sure what the options are for him on that.
Now we pay $80 for internet, $15 each for Hulu and Netflix, and we piggy back off my BFF’s HBO account. We either use smart TV apps or the xbox one to access the apps.
We were paying around $190 for cable and internet, but dropped down to just internet in June.
We pay: $81.95/mo for high speed cable internet $10.73/mo for Spotify premium which includes Hulu, but I would be paying for this just for the music anyway $119/yr ($9.91/mo) for Amazon prime, but this isn't just for tv and I'd be paying for it anyway
My sister pays for Netflix and gives us her login and she uses our Prime login. My mom also has basically every channel on Dish Network and lets us use her log-in information for a few random apps on the Amazon Firestick (i.e. Fox Sports North, Showtime).

Yeah we watch a lot of sports too. We cut cable for a couple of years but ended up going out to bars to watch some games and realized that we ended up saving nothing by doing that!
IIRC Hulu plus and PlayStation vue both have options for sports, but for us they were not cheaper than cable.
We used to pay $75 for basic cable and internet back in NJ.
Now we pay $65 for internet, and about $15 each for Netflix, Hulu, and HBO. So I guess we pay a little more? But to me, most of cable was junk; now we’re getting exactly what we want, when we want, and can just ignore the rest.

my 4 yr old DD LOVES Power Rangers, it's her #1 show right now!! She's such a weirdo lol.
