So my flight leaves DFW tomorrow at 6:59 am. How early should I plan to be there? Just the usual 1.5 hours to 2 hours? Or is it busier than that?
And how much travel time that time of day from Frisco? Getting out of the airport to my hotel in Frisco was easy, but it was around 2 in the afternoon so not a lot of traffic. I have no idea what to expect on a Friday morning.
Hi Lostrn, check out the app Waze if you haven't already done so. You can tell it what time you want to arrive and it will give you the best time to leave. I think based on how early you're going, it'll only take 30 min or so to jet up 121 to the airport. I think 1.5 hours at the airport is plenty of time - are you TSA pre check?
I would plan for 30-40 min to get to DFW. I regularly only get there an hour early for morning flights and have never had a problem, so I would bet 1.5 would be completely fine. If you have a rental car that can add a good bit of time too.

Are you returning a rental car? If so, I've never done that at DFW, so I'm not sure how quick it will be. I would plan at least 20 minutes for that since you will be shuttled from the car rental to your gate.
If you aren't checking in a bag, I would plan to be at security a half hour prior to your boarding time. I fly American and at that time in the morning, it's usually pretty quick and painless to get through security...with or without Priority/Pre-Check.
Driving from Frisco to DFW should only be about 30-40 minutes at that time of day using the toll roads. I just did this drive two days ago.
