We move out of the house in 12 days. We live in an AirBnB for 3 weeks. And, according to plans stated by the estate agent, we'll be in by the end of that.
They tried to sell us the light fixtures. I would have kept them if they gave them to us but honestly, they weren't my style and they were as much as I'd spend on new lights. So no. They want to sell us the fridge. We're asking for more money off the selling price and then we'll take it, otherwise no. So, we'll be without light fixtures for a while but that's fine. We have lamps.
You weren't kidding that the process is so much different. I couldn't imagine wanting to take down and pack-up light fixtures.
I'm sure they'll take them down and try to sell them along with the induction stove (which we are happy not to have as we use our cast iron stuff all the time - we want gas).

I totally believe you that they'll take the fixtures with them. It just seems odd. It seems like it will be a low ROI. It's got to be a pain all around to take them down, clean, wrap/move/store, and then try to sell.

Yup - kinda hoping that they decide it's too much of a pain and they'll just leave them. Then I can buy fixtures at my leisure.

wawa, yes, didn't think I could, but they also scratch the surface up horribly (how my H uses them - he's not gentle) and I don't want to have to pay to get rid of it in 2-3 months. (Nor did I want to pay £1200 for something I was going to use for a short bit). But that's a good thing to know.

85 boxes packed. We have to be out of the house by 2pm on Weds. I work on Mon/Tue. H works Mon and at home on Tue. We've given my MIL a task. Tuesday evening and early Weds am are going to suck. But we'll get there.
