I'm seeing them pop up on FB feed so I went to their website. It says they will start selling their lines in Spring 2020 out of The Children's Place stores and also online. The photos on the FB ad looked like the old collections before the big change in the clothing designs and then they shut down.
DS will be right at the age where I started dressing DD in more Gymboree. I currently dress him in all Carters so Gymboree returning should hopefully be a good thing at our house.

I'd be so happy to see this, however; I LOVE their rebranding/newer design stuff. We bought a ton during their going out of business sale and I'll be sad when she's out of her 3T stuff next year.
Omg really?!? I will be so happy!!! I loved their older stuff. DD1 needs winter clothes and I canβt find anything I like for her. I wonder how the prices will be. I used to buy her a ton on clearance or at the Gumbo outlet.

This would be great for us too! I used to buy a ton of off season stuff on clearance and store it until the next season. And the fleece mittens at Crazy 8 were perfect- cute, thin enough for playing and cheap when on sale so I'm not terribly sad if one gets lost.

That would be awesome. I liked their dressier clothes (Gymboree and Crazy 8) more than some other similarly-priced kids' clothing stores, and they were more affordable than Gap or J. Crew.
I loved Gymboree! Luckily, they didn't go out of business until my youngest kid was a toddler, so I have a lot of hand-me-downs. Those outfits (and holiday dresses!) are really some of the cutest things we have.
I miss Gymbo so much! I always found their boys tees to wash so well - very little pilling and fading. I can't seem to find any other stores that holds up as well for the price (well, their sale prices at least).
I am curious to see how it goes when they come back. If they will be successful, if they will really bring back the old designs, etc. My toddler will probably be in size 5t by 2020
I love the old lines but unfortunately my kids are past Gymbo sizes. My 7 and 9 year old currently wear size 12 due to height. They use to wear exclusively Gymbo and J&J until the lines went to shit after 2015. I couldn't even find anything except undies at the closing sale.

My retailer bought a defunct brand, all it means is they buy the rights to the name and brand. It's just intellectual property, so there is no guarantee they will return to past silhouettes or fabrications. The fact that most selling occurred on promo or markdown is not lost on the new owners either.

I loved Gymbo when DD was a baby girl- just adored all the baby/toddler colorful outfits and was obsessed with any of the holiday dress lines. DD is in 5T so who knows if they will have cuter stuff for older girls, but I was excited to see this announcement. I just bought a βvintageβ pumpkin dress from 2016.
