I know it’s early, but I just got an email about Rakuten’s 11% on 11/11 deal and I thought I would start this thread.
For the last couple of years, I’ve ordered Christmas cards using Shutterfly on 11/11. I get 50% off, 11% back, and the print quality is better than if I waited until closer to Christmas. They’re usually rushing the jobs by then and the quality stinks.
DH wants a new smoker the 42" smoke hollow. Bi-Mart (local store) usually has a great deal on them for Black Friday so I'm just waiting.
DD is getting all the stuff she needs to compete next season so no deals as I have to go through a special team site. Backpack $50, jacket $75, leotard $105. I'm hoping to get the jacket and leotard used which is why I've been putting off buying them plus she is growing like crazy.
I've stopped doing photo cards as we send out so few so it isn't worth my time. I'll print some wallet size prints at Costco and stick them in instead.
We are going to the American Girl doll store this weekend. Might be tempted to buy a doll. I know they’re crazy expensive and there are seldom any deals, but anyone got any money saving tips for me?
vasc, I think if you sign up for their emails they do a sale like once a year or something. I had done it when I got the girls Bitty Babies a couple years ago.
vasc- this time of year they will also mail you coupons to use at the store. DD wanted a doll during the year, so we made her earn the money. Then we got a $20 coupon, which put her over the top. Also, Wellie Wishers are much less expensive than the full size dolls, but you can’t find clothes as easily. The Target dolls are pretty much exactly like the AG dolls, so that may be a good alternative. The AG doll clothes and accessories fit them.
We were at Home Depot yesterday and they’ve started their Black Friday pricing already. DH wants some new tools that I may go ahead and pick up. We’re also getting a new dishwasher.

This has nothing to do with good holiday deals, but I thought I'd throw it in here.
DD really wants to get a Poopsie Critter and has talked about it endlessly for a few months now. When I asked our nanny what it is, she said it was a "sparkling unicorn that poops slime out of its butt." I thought that was an exaggeration; but nope, I went on Amazon and looked, that's exactly what it is! Whoever thought this was a good idea??!?!?!
I agree with k3am, especially if you have it in hand shakinros.
Not yet! We’re having issues with the old dishwasher draining. I want to get a plumber out here to confirm that there’s no issue with the drainage line before I spend $$$ on a new dishwasher.

I almost died when DD said she wanted an American Girl doll. She wants Ashlyn, which is a Wellie Wishers doll. $60 still kind of makes me vomit in my mouth though.
And thanks to this thread, I know what all this stuff means.
k3am, Kohl’s near our house has as much Wellie Wisher stuff as the AG store. Maybe more. All conveniently located in the middle of girls clothing so there’s no escaping it.
I just got Dd a Fitbit Inspire through my fitness points. It was $69 at Kohl's and Amazon, but it only took 2500 points which is $25. Such a good deal I replaced my old Fitbit.
I'm going to Khols this week to get her some Ugg boots. $90 regular across all sights, but I have 25% off.
On American Girl dolls, there are some knockoffs. My Generation at Target. They are the same size and wore the same clothes. Unless they wanted a specific doll. Dd preferred them, because she could get more and more stuff. Bargain shopper like momma at an early age.
Well, we came home with a Bitty Baby (infant doll). There was a set with doll and accessories on sale for $125 ($15 off). DD was delighted. The price was high but if it feeds her love of baby dolls for a few more years then I’ll consider it worth it.
I could have watched the doll hair stylists brush the doll hair all day long!
k3am DD got a Poopsie a few weeks ago with her own money. What a waste too...the making of the slime took all of two minutes. She’s done nothing with it since opening it.
It seems to me that the appeal of toys like that is the unboxing “Which one am I going to get?” anticipation! After it’s opened, DD doesn’t care anymore.
DS wants some pokemon stuff (no idea what stuff), and DD wants a thermos. She described it to my SIL as "the soup holder that I got in my easter basket, but bigger", so apparently a bigger thermos than the easter bunny brought. I will have to figure out what Santa is bringing, because that doesn't give me a lot to work with.

Costco had several doll options this weekend. Wellie Wisher, Bitty Babies, and two different dolls - don't remember their names though.
I got a great deal on a new video game for my nephew yesterday. Target had 40% off select EA games and of course most of the ones he wanted were excluded, but one wasn't! Got a $60 game for 40% off!
I also had some Justice coupons that I was able to stack and got DD2 and 2 of my nieces giant squishmallows for just $27/each.
Amazon had some books buy 2 get 1 free. So a neighbor and I went together and bought some of the illustrated HP books for our girls. $47 normally and we got them for $21 each.

Resurrecting this as it gets closer to Black Friday...
Amazon has the LOL glamper van for $64 today (reg price is $100). It was on DD's list, and I expect that will be the best price I'll see for it, as it hasn't been in any Black Friday ads. One more gift checked off the list!
covergirl82 , I need someone to explain what LOLs are. DD wants them and they look like it's $10-15 for a big ball of nothing?
They started out as one size of doll, maybe 3", and they are one of the recent fads of "surprise"/"unwrap" toys. There are various accessories and clothes that also come in the ball. I think the cost is crazy, but my DD really likes them and actually plays with them. They now have "little sister" dolls (about 1.5") and "big sister" dolls (a bit bigger than a Shopkins Shoppie doll), as well as pets.
k3am, Be prepared for a ton of trash. Each item inside the ball is wrapped in plastic and the ball itself has several plastic wrap layers. I loathe how much trash is left behind. But my girls actually do play with the figures.
