I have a peloton! Love it! I’m a member of peloton Facebook group. The only complaints people ever have are Sometimes the delivery company sucks. My experience was 100% fine. The other complaints have to do with music and instructors but if you have the app then you already know what they are like. Do you live in a city with a peloton store? You can go check them out! If not, feel free to ask any questions!

We bought ours after using it at a hotel earlier this year. I love it! I was never an app user though, but I'd imagine it feels like a big step up. I went into a nearby Peloton store to order mine. We did the no cost financing. I mostly do the cycling classes but the strength classes I've taken have been great also. I want to try one of the road running ones soon.
I didn't ever ride with the app, but I really love my Peloton. And before I had it, I had been a spin studio addict and frequented a LOT of studios so have experience with many bikes. The Peloton feels a lot sturdier than a lot of the ones I rode on at studios or in gyms. It makes the experience that much nicer.
My gym has Kaiser brand bikes, but their cycling room is setup so you can use the Peloton app on an iPad hooked up to a big TV. I've been riding with the app and I love it. My thighs are currently still burning from a HIIT ride on Tuesday. I actually didn't think I'd like the classes because I normally ride an actual bike outside, but I need to keep up with cycling over the winter for a charity ride I'm doing in May, and I'm pleasantly surprised.
I would really like to try out some of their other workouts, but that's not possible in the cycling room and I don't really want to pay for the app on top of paying for my gym membership. Ideally I'd have my own home gym setup with a Peloton bike, but that's $$$$.

I love mine and use it several times a week in addition to my gym. Love high fiving friends or randos who are in the class or on the same on demand ride with me.
I think for the $40 monthly subscription fee, the initial price of the bike could've been less. I think I paid roughly $2200-2400 (don't recall), which is pricey. But it definitely is gym-grade equipment so that's good. The extended protection plan was a few hundred more, which I think is worth it.
Love the class selection for the bike, as well as the app for the treadmill and outdoor walks/runs. I definitely make use of it. I just got my parents the treadmill so I'm excited to use theirs when I visit.

I absolutely love mine and use it several times per week (until pneumonia put me on my ass last week). I was never an app rider though. My assumption is if you're an app rider you will absolutely love the bike since I think the quality of the bike far exceeds most other ones, plus integrated screen and all that.
I love it. I hate working out but I actually enjoy using it. I got it with 0 percent interest for 36 months and I think they now have a free in-home trial, too!

This is what I did too! It’s cheaper and more convenient than my gym membership was. Plus I think the instructors are overall better.
I'm obsessed with mine. I'm also a non-exerciser but this thing changed my life. I'm on my 5th Power Zone challenge and have seen huge increases in my fitness. I've also used the strength, yoga, meditation, and stretching classes and absolutely love them!
I love mine. I bought it on a whim when I was a little drunk. DH and I have about 500 rides between the three of us and four friends of ours have bought them bc of us. Make sure you get a code from someone that has one to get a discount on accessories or if you want to wait till Black Friday they normally have a free accessories package but you can still use the discount code of a friend to give them credit.

It's funny you say it this way, because I feel like for the cost of the bike, the app should be way cheaper. I get people buy the app separately without the bike, but I feel like there should be a steep discount for the app for bike purchasers. At least for the first year or something.

I love ours! My husband is a cyclist, but I’d never even taken a spin class before. It’s such a fun workout and compliments my barre classes that I take/teach. The shoes are $125, the monthly fee is $42 with tax. We didn’t finance ours because my husband unwilling to exercise on a bike that we owed money on, lol.

That too! I'm kind of appalled that people that own the actual bike pay MORE to suscribe than the app users.

Wait what? Seriously? That would irritate me.
This thread has convinced me I need this bike and I have no idea why because I’ve never done spin a day in my life. But I’ve got my eye on getting some workouts in once I’m cleared at my postpartum appt.

Maybe bc they know they've got us stuck. I mean, you HAVE to get the subscription if you get the bike. But app users, they're still trying to hook em. lol.

OMG, I didn’t know it was more! That’s even worse.
We bought the Echelon about a year ago. It’s substantially cheaper and offers all the same features. We love it.
Which one do you have? Do you have any issues with using a separate device for the screen/app?
I had no desire to buy one until this thread but it actually might be more practical than my rarely used gym membership.
We have the eX1. No issues using external devices. They just released the eX5 that I think has its own screen, but I’m not sure what the price point is. We paid like $799 for the eX1 last January and got the tablet for free. The app costs the same as Peleton (and has similar non-bike related classes), but we got a deal when we signed up for 1 year in advance ($349 vs $480).

It’s been awesome for me postpartum. I can take a short class everyday or a longer one if I have energy/time. Normally I do a short (20-30 minute) spin class in the mornings and do a yoga or meditation in the evenings. A couple times a week I do a strength class.

I have a studio bike that I bought off my spin instructor for $200, an iPad mount, and the app. I've used the actual peloton bike and I prefer the one I bought as it feels sturdier and better built. I don't really care about the leader board- I just want to watch the instructor and ride. I can also cast the class onto my TV, which has better sound and motivates me more.
