Most of my charitable giving is to our local diaper bank (who also has a program to distribute period supplies) and a local women's shelter. I also give to Planned Parenthood, Lilith Fund for Reproductive Equity, Beyond Batten Foundation, and a few other local orgs.
It's a fundraiser for housing for a family in Philadelphia so they can be reunited with their dog for the holidays - they were forced to give the dog up when they were evicted. Donations go directly to Student-Run Emergency Housing Unit of Philadelphia and are tax-deductible.
I love the spirit of charity this board has around the holidays (and all year long really).

In addition to my monthly giving, this year I started giving donations based on the month/ holiday and with it being Thanksgiving, I would like to make a donation to a Native American organization. Anyone have an org to suggest?
This is a really good list of organizations doing important harm reduction work. I know many of the people who work in these orgs personally, and they deserve support!
One such org was recently told by the state health department that they are losing 89% of their HIV funding - amounting to over $200,000 (probably now going to Trump's new PreP program which I don't trust).
