I am having a really tough time deciding what kind of window treatments to put in our main living space. I would love to take advantage of Black Friday sales.
The ones that the shades are closed is close to the neighbor's house, so we would likely keep them closed most of the time because otherwise we can see into their house/they can see into ours. But we do like getting light coming in. The front window we like to keep open most of the time.
Honeycomb with the ones that do top down for the front window? Woven shades? Other ideas??
We had 2" faux wood blinds at our old house, but the windows here are too shallow for them. I loved how we could angle them to get light but people couldn't see in.
I just replaced window treatments for my entire 2500+ square foot house as a result of a gut reno plus addition. In the addition, our windows are also shallow but for those we did outside mount wood blinds. I ordered through Loweβs and I believe they are currently running 50% off custom blinds and shades. For some other windows we have bali Roman shades and have gotten a lot of compliments on them - also from Loweβs.

We did a mixture of Hunter Douglas.
Spare rooms not used much we did the honeycomb some with the wands and some with the pulls, but all top down, bottom up. Based on room some are room darkening, some are not.
Main house we did roman shades, but also with top down or bottom up. We've had them about 10 months now and love the versatility of them.
In the areas that now face the new neighbor construction I take the blinds top down so they can't see me but I get good daylight.

The trouble with the neighbor house is how the upstairs is angled, the top down would let the upstairs windows look into our first floor windows. I just bought some blue, textured linen curtains from company store half off for Black Friday. Thinking of doing curtains for the large two windows and making them into Roman shades for the smaller ones. Then also honeycomb? Not totally sure yet, but I can return stuff.
I would definitely do top down honeycomb for the windows facing the neighboring house.
I'm really liking your couch and am starting to look to replace mine. Can you share the details about it?
The couch is from crate and barrel! Barrett lounger in I think itβs smoke gray? We have really liked it. I was able to get it for 20% off too with the moving coupon.
I don't like blinds personally because I hate cleaning them. We put in cellular blinds in most of our windows, with the top down ones in our main front window. I think I'm going to add sheers or some other accent panel because it feels unfinished to me. But we used to have only sheers and it didn't feel like it gave enough privacy when it was dark and we had the lights on inside. We got all of ours from Lowes.

Thanks! I really like. (Sorry for distracting from the question at hand π)
I ordered some white cellular shades for the big windows on cyber Monday from blinds dot com for 55% off. The curtains came from Company Store, but they look like denim. Not really what I was hoping. So will be sending them back, also thought I had the length right but it turns out I ordered them too long too.
I'd love a print, but I'm also scared of the print being overwhelming.

I have the same concern with basically all prints! I did buy some curtains with a geometric type pattern for our bedroom though. We will see...
