I guess I have to do it. I have to buy a stove/oven and I have to do it soon - since I've been living without a stove/oven since Oct 17th (the day my ex-husband's affair consolation stove died and right after that my boyfriend's free Price-is-Right stove got delayed due to the impeachment hearings). I should have looked Black Friday, but didn't.
Anyone have recommendations? It needs to be an electric stove/oven and mid-range price is great. Do I want a double oven? I like to bake bread and quiche and cookies, but I'm open to why 2 ovens are better.
Bonus points if you provide links and so I can just buy online and not go shopping anywhere.
(I posted this on ML too - by accident, but am leaving it there too)
When I was looking at ovens, I did not like the double ovens in one stove feature. That's about all I have to say about it. LOL! I have a dual fuel stove (gas top/electric oven) so it wouldn't work for you.

My mom’s appliance guy (she’s an interior designer and brings most of her clients to him) swears by GE for stoves. I just got a new stove through him last winter and absolutely love it. Mine is gas, so not a help to you. I went with a single oven because double felt like each was a tad small. I haven’t regretted that.
I had a double electric in my last house and loved it. One of the ovens was smaller than the other so big things still fit easily. I can’t really live without my double
My recommendation is to go to an appliance store, not HD, Lowes, etc.. Big box models might look the same and have similar model numbers, but the big box models are made with cheaper parts.
Appliance stores have sales, make deals, have knowledgable employees and much better customer service.
I had a harvest gold GE stove at my old house that was original to the house (built in 1974) so I can attest to the longevity of GE stoves.
It worked better than my mom’s fancy one.
1974 appliances were built to last, and were pretty easy to fix. For the last 20 yrs or so they have been built with planned obsolescence.
My parents house has a 64 yr old oven that still works. The cooktop was replaced less than 10 years ago, but only because the parts were too hard to find, and something weird (cosmetic) got broken...it still worked. They replaced their fridge from the same time period after 25 yrs, but that was because there was no replacement latch for the broken freezer latch....plus, they were ready to let the pink fridge with the aqua interior go.
Also here to recommend looking at induction vs. traditional electric. DH talked me into it over gas and I've been pretty happy with it so far. It really does heat everything up faster and, best of all, it's so easy to clean up. We did something unpopular and bought a Samsung model and have been happy with it for the last year and a half or so that we've had it.
As for dual oven, we didn't hear great things about any of the models that were available when we looked, but I suspect they would've been OK and there might be better models now.
Finally, ditto on going to an appliance store/website rather than a big box store. We've had excellent service from ours and the pricing was the same, and our local place was willing to price match promos.
