Howard interviewed Hillary this morning and it was GREAT!! She tells stories about people she’s met - MLK, Mandela, Maya Angelou. Working on the Nixon impeachment. Meeting Bill and the boyfriend she dumped for him. Her new book with Chelsea. And there’s some Bernie shade, too 😁. Highly recommend you check it out, even you Howard haters

WTF? He's still relevant? I judge anyone who would go on his show and who listen to him. Why the wink after your last sentence? It's really not cute to listen to him. Using the N word, having the KKK on his show, derogatory against women, no thanks.
I was trying to convey that he didn’t do any of the disgusting things people associate with him, like ask her bra size or something. That you can hate him but still appreciate a thoughtful, in depth interview with Hillary Clinton. I thought some posters would enjoy her stories. But I see how a wink was ambiguous.

Can't wait to listen later, thought it was a joke when they announced this morning. Next he needs to interview Oprah, he talks about her Instagram all the time like he's trying to convince her to come on.
Hold on. wanderingback has explained that he is racist and misogynistic and you are still talking about him like he is of relevance and that Oprah should go on his show? F that.

I’ve been skeptical since day 1 about Howard Stern’s supposed mea culpa.
And not to take anything away from Clinton, but she’s not infallible either. She’s still a privileged white Baby Boomer who can be tone deaf at times. Like doing this interview with Stern as opposed to ... I don’t know, anyone else.

I get the feeling that she did this in order to promote sales of the book that she just "wrote" with her daughter.

She is on the podcast circuit - she didn’t just go on Stern. I k ow an episode of Conan’s podcast with her and Chelsea dropped earlier this week.

I'm sure there are other places that people can listen to Hillary Clinton stories if they would like to do so. She doesn't get a pass either for going on her show. She's a problematic white woman too. But anyway, so because he wasn't a racist and misogynistic asshole this time it makes it ok? Mmmhmm.

I really like Hillary. I can also say that I really like someone but disagree with some of their decisions. I’m sure plenty of people generally like me but don’t love every decision I’ve made. I think Hillary has done so much to fight for women and girls, and that makes her decision to sit for an interview with Stern all the more disappointing.
I get that Howard Stern still has a huge audience. Howard Stern may be less bad than he used to be, but it’s 2019. There are 8 zillion platforms for promoting one’s work. Someone with Clinton’s profile can be a little choosier in how she goes about this.
Stern is gross, and I don’t like Clinton’s choice to appear on his show. The idea that Oprah should lower herself to appearing on his show is laughable.
I’m Hillary’s #1 fan. (At least, until the last 18 months ish...) I own all of her books, my kids think she is royalty, etc. I have a deep admiration for her, and it’s been really difficult for me to come to grips with my changing feelings towards her, over the last year or so.
Fuck Howard Stern, and it actually really pisses me off that Hillary Clinton would go on his show. He’s a fucking asshole, misogynist, racist, piece of shit.
She could go on ANY SHOW IN THE WORLD, and tell cute stories. She chooses Howard Stern? No. No, no, no.
I think my grossed out feelings that she went on his show have been expressed. I don't want to beat a dead horse, but where she had to expressly "defend" her sexuality, that was actually pretty much bra size sharing icky in my mind.
I will say the George Bush story is absolute gold. I wish she'd shared it somewhere else.
Hollywood and music legends go on his show all the time, people do change and grow.
Yes, people can change and grow. Everyone has made stupid or insensitive comments inadvertently at some point, and hopefully we all regret those comments, and learn from them. I know I do.
But Howard Stern made those comments deliberately, on purpose, for profit, every day. Like, millions of dollars in profit, repeatedly, over DECADES. He made this money BECAUSE he was a racist, sexist, misogynistic asshole. These weren't comments like "oops, I said this one thing I didn't realize was offensive, thank you for pointing this out to me, it wasn't your responsibility to do so, but it is my responsibility to do better." He knew exactly what he was doing, and told the people who hated him for it to basically fuck off, he didn't care what they thought.
So no, he doesn't get a 2nd chance from me. Ever. I'm sure his change of heart has been made easier by the hundreds of millions of dollars he has to fall back on if his new supposed non-racist and non-sexist persona doesn't work out. I think it's a shame Hillary went on that show. There are plenty of hosts she could have talked to. She didn't need to give him the time of day, IMO.
Also, it isn't like Hillary is desperate for $. She doesn't have to shill this hard. That is the part I find baffling.
I did listen to her interview on Conan's podcast. It was decent. Conan can be annoying and get in the way, but she and Chelsea were great. Chelsea told a lot of stories about how nerdy she was growing up and I found them charming.

If it only comes about because someone realized they can't make money being a pig anymore, then there's plenty of reasons to be skeptical. And Hillary has continually surrounded herself by problematic men and given them a pass (starting with her husband), so none of this is surprising.
If it only comes about because someone realized they can't make money being a pig anymore
Even that is a generous interpretation.
He does a public "mea culpa" and pretends he isn't a shit face every time he has something new to shill.
He did it with his movie, when he moved to Sirius, with his recent format change. It's his tactic to expand his audience and gives his existing fans cover when people call them out for listening to his shit. "But he's changed." Bullshit. And now you are part of the problem by repeating it.
Love him or hate him, he is currently running for the leader of the party you belong to, and is doing well in fact. It seems - not great - to go on a show and shit on him saying he hurt your feelings. Say that to your friends, come on a message board and vent, but maybe lets not shit on every candidate we have running over the next year in the national media?
ETA: Though, when thinking about it, I'd imagine the cross section of Bernie voter and Stern listener is quite significant...so maybe shitting on him will bring out their rabid fury and they will vote? But, then again, that vote would be for Bernie. lol

And also why did you have to pick this title? If you had to post, why couldn't you just say Howard Stern interviews Hillary Clinton?

Something tells me she was expecting a verrry different response. One where we all laugh at her cutesy language and thank her for sharing this delightful interview.
