Good dinner ideas when everyone needs to eat on their own or in shifts? Our January is looking really messy
I do crock pot soups when we need to eat in shifts. Mainly split pea since everyone likes it and it stands on its own. Sometimes ham and bean, but that requires cornbread too so it’s slightly more complicated. Haha. Chili. Those kinds of things. At least January is a good month for that kind of food.
I roasted a turkey Saturday night so we are having turkey a lot and then DH is smoking a pork roast for NYE so then we will be having a lot of pork. Meal plan goes something like this:
Saturday: mini thanksgiving. Turkey and sides.
Sunday: turkey, Brie and cranberry sandwiches with leftover sides
Monday: turkey noodle soup, fruit, and garlic bread
Tuesday: we are having a party. We are proving smoked pork sliders, cole slaw, and buffalo chicken dip. Other people will bring other apps to share.
Wednesday: leftover smoked pork
Thursday: either leftover pork or turkey. Maybe made into tacos or something.
Friday: probably more leftovers
Then we will start to eat normally again. But, I haven’t planned that far out yet.
