What are you all wearing tomorrow for New Years Eve? I am just going to a kids party at the neighbors so jeans, but not sure what to wear for a top. My tops are all boring to me, but I also really like being warm so no fun bar tops anymore. What are you all doing for the holiday?
Ugh. I have no idea. Beau is being cryptic about our plans and I have to wear something that works with tall boots because of the weather. Thinking black tights/leggings with a black peasant style dress that has some minor gold trim. I can dress it up or down with jewelry. Or jeans and a blouse. Will probably pack a more casual sweater too if we end up at outdoor fireworks. Hoping he solidifies the plan more early tomorrow so I don't have to over pack for a one night stay.
We are skiing all day, to get into the car and cross the border then maybe drive an hour or two to find a hotel. Suitcase of one overnight outfit plus the next day (for 5 people) is on the roof in a clamshell.
So after I peel my bibs off in the car it’s activewear!
I’ve gained a decent amount of weight over the past year due to stress so... definitely leggings... and I have a velvet top from Ann Taylor that looks good on me.
We are supposed to have friends over for dinner tonight but they haven’t confirmed, so I’m not sure. They’ve been fighting a ton and if last night was a bad night, we probably won’t see them. So if they don’t come... PJs!

We're only spending time with family and then maybe friends, so just something casual/comfortable. If we go home after spending time with family (instead of going to a friend's house), then it will be pajamas.
We are staying home and probably won't even make it to 10 tonight. So pjs it is for me. I will work hard to have DD in bed normal time. Our neighborhood lets of lots of fireworks starting around 9 all the way until the wee hours of the morning. I'm drugging the dog and hoping DD is sound enough asleep that it won't both either of them too much.
I got less helpful info today. LOL "Made a dinner reservation in the city, feel free to dress up as much or as little as you want! After dinner we're winging it!" I think I'll go with the dress/leggings option.
DD got a super cute (maybe annoying for parents) coupon book from a kid at school so she decided to use the pajama day coupon for today with the caveat she had to change for the party. I’m still in my PJs. We are having a hard time adjusting to the time change and slept until 10 today.
I’m leaning towards a navy undershirt with a lacy gray sweater over it.

Casual for me. Beau and I had talked about going out, so I would have worn a sparkly dress with knee high boots. But we decided to stay in and keep it low key with appetizers, so I'll just be wearing jeans and a t-shirt.

I’m flying home today with the kids and it’s started with a 2.75 hour delay so I’m just hoping the current flights stick and we don’t miss our connection(s). They’ve already rerouted us due to missed connections. So I’m wearing my comfy amazon pants and a north face quarter zip sweatshirt.
Thankfully the boys have WiFi and comfy seats so we should be okay for the next 2 hours of our delay.

That’s what happened to us. Luckily our connection was also delayed but we were going East so we got in so so late.
Confession: I haven’t left the house all day and don’t feel like going to a party. I’m tired and feel dehydrated even though I keep drinking water. I’m sure I’ll have fun but I just want to do nothing.
Figured out why he was being so cryptic with the plans. His restaurant was closed for the holiday, so he took me there and opened it up just for us and cooked me a giant meal! Then we watched fireworks at midnight and he had booked us a hotel room in the city for the night.
This is like rom com level woo-ing. It's unbelievable.
