We are reworking the playroom for older toys and added a desk.
We definitely need a rug, I’m thinking a round one will work best. I have 7’ from the tan expedit to the desk mat and 8’ from the white kallax to just under the easel.
The tan expedit will be replaced with a Billy shortly after we finish our bonus room built-ins.
I’m thinking a round rug would be best. Maybe square. I’m hoping for something durable bc the dog destroyed the last rug due to bathroom accidents (that seems to be the room she picks).

I've gotten four different Ruggables over the past few months. I have them in the maser bath, master closet, laundry room, and as a front door mat. I'm a little embarrassed to say I haven't tried washing any of them yet, but I think they'd be great for a kids' room, and they have really cute patterns. They have relatively limited sizes, but I think a 5 x 7 would work.
Target has some braided oval rugs from Pillowfort. We have one in DS2’s room and it’s pretty nice. They have a few colors I think—at least pink, blue, and gray, maybe more.
