Do any of you use a remote plugged into your laptop for presentations?
I want to purchase something that will allow slide advancement. Easy, but here is my other ask. I want the presenter to also be able to control the mouse/software pointer.
Many of our audience members are online so a pointer that only works in the room is not as useful.
Any ideas? Should I just use a wireless mouse? Our presenters sit at tables 99% of the time.

I personally would use a wireless mouse. The last time I was in this situation I used a wireless mouse and I had to stand when I gave the presentation. I made sure I was near a table/podium if I needed to click the mouse. In theory I could have used my hand as a hard surface, but went the table route to be sure. If the majority of the time your presenter is at a table the mouse should cover both the pointer and slide advancement needs.
