I saw him trending on twitter and I just knew it. I didn't really think he'd make it all the way but I'm in agreement about being disappointed.
Side note - I saw Bennet speaking on CNN this weekend and his caption said he was a 2020 candidate. Is he really still running, and HOW?! I haven't heard anything about him for months.
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
I have resigned myself to the fact that in the general I am going to be voting for an old white fuck and I guess at this point I hope it’s Biden not Bernie who is being a real d-hole, shock of shocks.

This makes me sad. I did like Booker a lot and I will miss the diversity. Right now, only Andrew Yang is in the race and I don't like him and don't think he has a chance.

Sounds about white.
It's amazing how fast the tone on this board has changed about the race. We were all so excited until about November! Now it's very sad trombone. I worry a lot that some version of that malaise will infuse the primaries and the general for disillusioned Dems. The remaining field definitely confirms how far we have to go.
I know Booker had some problems and I completely respect why many people never warmed up to him. On his past record, he was never the greatest.
I also thought he was far more capable of handling the problems that will face us if we are lucky enough to win than most of the field.
I'm officially Team Warren now because I think we need women's leadership more than ever, and because the Castro endorsement really was effective. But I am so over this primary, and regardless of who wins, just dreading this election.
I remember being so excited when primary season started and feel so deflated now. Obviously I'll do whatever it takes to put a Dem back in the White House, but it's hard to feel excited at the moment. I'm also really angry at the billionaires who don't belong in the race, but have bought their way in.

It’s neither here nor there, but Deval Patrick and Tulsi Gabbard are still in. The loss of diversity is a problem, though.

You are right, I forgot about them. But it is still a problem that we've had some really good candidates bow out before the first vote has been cast because they don't have enough $$$.
I am not actually sad about this because his education policy was a debacle. I know he's sorry now, but only because it's baggage for him.
I'm trying not to feel sad in general about candidates dropping out because I kind of think maybe their time just hasn't come *yet.*
This made me think. I too am still thinking about his past education policy and what it did. But he was above Bernie and Biden in my book b/c he did seem to have a conscience on his past policies. We don't see that with Biden AT ALL and Bernie is just always right and always has been. I know the populous might not like fallible candidate, but I like one that appears to examine and grow over time.

I keep telling myself (reminding myself?) it’s normal to feel that way at this stage.
ETA: although I still want to scream whenever I see a Bloomberg column. You can fuck right off, sir.
