Anyone know why shoes squeak? I bought an updated pair of booties of ones I love (Crown Vintage booties form DSW) and the newer version squeaked from the moment I got them. Is there a way to get rid of the squeak?

I like the look of Sam Edelman Hiltie booties in suede. I’m over the shorter booties though and love the look of Hiltie with jeans, dresses, pants. I also love the more feminine take on the combat boots and i think those also work with jeans, dresses and leggings. Nordstrom has a ton of booties on sale now, so that would be my starting point.

I went to look at these (sadly I'm petite and they're too high for me) and I ended up buying the Sam Edelman Walden booties in two different colors.
If you're looking at Sam Edelman booties and Nordstrom doesn't have them in stock, check the Sam Edelman website - they have a lot of booties on sale with free shipping and returns.
Sometimes you can get shoes to stop squeaking by using powder inside. It could just be the inner sole rubbing against another part of the shoe causing the squeak.
I have both vionic and born booties/low boots that I like.
I have a pair of Earth Origins booties I love that I found at Nordstrom Rack.
I love my Earth Amanda booties! Perfect heel height, soft inside lining so I don't always wear socks, and most importantly, rubber soles. No click-clacking lol.
