If you're super fast, you can see the amazing Danica Roem speaking.
And of course I turned it on right as the Republican white dude was saying how proud he was of the Madame Speaker and "God forbid anything happen to our President and Vice President, we have Speaker Pelosi, who made it without the ERA..." With no acknowledgement of how much harder they had to battle and what they had to give up to *get* where they were. I appreciated Kelly Convirs-Fowler speaking after him.
ETA: And the horseshit from the female Republican rep to Ayala just now. "Does this apply to all women?" (You know she was referencing LGBTQ or at least that was my interpretation.) "But you didn't mention any Republican women. Would it cover *all* women?" (Yeah, it applies only to Democratic women, you ass. We know where you were going.)
How does this fit in context of the ruling a week or so ago that it wouldn't be ratified since states didn't meet the original deadline?
I was wondering the same thing because the House Repubs brought it up several times, including that RBG commented on the timeliness and it being brought forward again at some point in the future. If there's a question, then mebbe we can get the 38 states to revote on this same amendment in a "timely" manner.

I think the point is to call the DOJ's bluff on it/make them take the blame. It's unlikely it's going to work but it sure does make the administration look pretty stupid.
