No they haven't closed yet and I hope they don't. My kids don't go anywhere besides school, home and grandmas. If the grownups are mostly also home, I'd think the chances of a kid bringing something in is low.
Why would it be assumed that grownups are mostly home? If kids are in daycare, grownups are going to be at work, no?
I thought the way this works is that people are carriers without knowing because they don’t have symptoms, including little kids.
Sorry if this is coming across wrong, my anxiety is through the roof today.
Ours sent out an email this morning saying they plan to stay open, but we are not sending the kids. DH is a teacher and is off until at least 4/27 so that makes our decision easy.

Most of the parents from what I have observed at my two kid's schools have office jobs in non-healthcare industries like my husband. They can work from home and they mostly are. If daycare stays open, those parents can continue to WFH.
Because we all know you can not WFH when you have to wrestle a 2 year old all day.
Our in home is open but has tightened up her rules - kids with runny nose, cough, etc. need to stay home no matter the reason. I would not be surprised if things change.
RI just changed their recommendations and asked daycares to also close so our daycare is now closed. I prepped for this but in reality I have no idea how this will work - we will find out though!!

Ours is open for now but has many more rules (pickup and dropoff at the door, anyone with any symptoms whatsoever is sent home - which kind of rules out all toddlers forever)
My husband and I are both now working half remotely and we pulled our older daughter from school (schools are still open in Scotland but my daughter has asthma and we are anxious) so we are going back and forth about what to do about our son. Obviously it will be a lot easier to WFH without a 3 year old, but my daughter actually gets super bored on her own so he might actually help... it's just really hard to balance everything out. We are expats so don't see older people at all really so the risk is really only to ourselves. I think. I'm actually super confused about all of this which is making me doubt my decisions pretty much constantly.

Oh - and we get paid at work regardless of what happens with this so we will carry on paying our daycare provider, ballet lessons, etc so that hopefully they all stay in business for when we need them again. I know this is so dependent on people's personal situations but the aftermath of all this is pretty scary as well.

Our daycare is open. Our kids are school age, but still go there every day after school until we pick them up after work. They can take our kids while they are off school as long as they stay open and Friday evening we told them we plan on sending them. However DH and I made the decision today not to send them. DH is able to work remotely and in the evenings, so he will watch them at home. I am a nurse and right now am planning on going to the office (I work in outpatient psychiatry so the risk is lower) while work scrambles to get tele-psychiatry set up.
I’m trying to decide if it makes any sense for me to be proactive and WFH, but send the kids to daycare so I can actually work. DH is still going in as of now.
This is such a cluster. I’m so annoyed at our government.
We had one positive case announced in our small town today, up to 29 cases in our county, and 98 in the state of NJ as of this afternoon.

Ours is still open and announced at the end of last week they don't intend to close this coming week. Neither my job or DHs are WFH yet so no idea what we'll do if they do close.
