My MIL happened to be visiting as this all went down so she is now here indefinitely to help. So that is a big relief, although DS (5) is running all over her and not listening soooo it is not a magic solution.
Also, this means I am crazy busy with actual work. DH has a bunch of calls today but hoping that he has more flexibility. And I have mom guilt because my kid thinks all I do is work.

I already work mostly from home and only work part time. We're 4 days in and so far it hasn't been too bad. Kids are 11 and 13 so they're mostly able to be in charge of their school assignments with oversight from us.
Also, I work for a large University which sent an email to supervisors instructing them to be flexible, and also letting staff know this qualifies as a "childcare emergency" and we can use sick time to cover time if needed.
