We were also supposed to go spend a week in Vero Beach FL but we canceled. This is not a big deal because my two aunts live there on the beach and we can easily reschedule. But I’m disappointed about not seeing them and it will be the first year in a long time we haven’t gone to FL ( first world problems I know)
Yes and no? We had to cancel our trip to Grenada in March and (back then when it was still unclear how serious/huge this was really going to be) we half way hoped we could reschedule it for June, before I got into the no fly zone for pregnancy, but that’s definitely not happening now.

We had a bunch of camping trips planned for the airstream. State parks are closed through May, so we’ll see if the June and July trips happen. Supposed to go to glacier national in August - my H will be really upset if that gets cancelled.
I just want to add that I’m so bummed about this. We haven’t really traveled in a few years because of IVF, pregnancy and breastfeeding and this was going to be the year we got back into it. I feel so trapped and we’ve really not travelled in like 4 years. Gah!
I’d like to find a way to get my baby’s toes in the sand this summer at least for a day. We will see what happens.
Yes. We had planned on going to SF and although we hadn’t booked flights yet, I cancelled the hotel reservation. I was so sad.
I’m not sure if we will go anywhere this summer which really bums me out. BB is a good traveler and it’s been fun taking her places. Maybe we will explore around us a bit more and do staycations.
I was peeved six months ago that MH didn’t want to do a trip for our 10th anniversary in April (I wanted to go overseas somewhere) but I guess it turned out for the best.
My sister had to cancel her May trip to Ireland - she would’ve left a week from now. My mom and some other family members booked an Ireland trip for October 2020 a while ago but I can’t imagine that will happen.
yeah i'm taking the change in travel plans hard today. Not like I want to fly to Florida with 2 kids in masks, but I am so sad we won't get to go to the beach this year. Being in Kansas really limits places we can travel by car easily.
We’re not going anywhere but can your kids use a travel potty and then you and your H can run in to a real bathroom? I don’t trust my kid to not lick the toilet seat so we use our car potty a lot even without Coronavirus in a private wooded area:

We have no summer trips planned now. We canceled our Memorial Weekend Disney trip. Our big trip this year was supposed to be a Caribbean cruise in March that got canceled. We were possibly going to visit family in California in June but hadn't booked anything before this happened and now are definitely not going.
I would like to spend a week at a nearby beach in late June or July (we're in Florida about 40 mins from the beach) but the short term rental ban is still in effect here and if it's not lifted for the summer, that will be out too and it'll just be beach day trips. We had no travel plans in the fall except for a family wedding in September that might not happen now.

Same. We had our first weeklong family trip last August and got excited at the thought of annual August family vacations now that DD2 is almost 3, but then this shit happened. When we feel more comfortable vacationing without it requiring a 14-day quarantine since we'd be traveling from NYC, we will stick to driving trips for a very long time. It sucks, but plane travel is out of the question for us now. I'm even not comfortable leaving the metro area for a while; I feel like traveling a ton, even driving, is going to continue spreading this around. So annoying.
NYC beaches are pretty much a joke but there is a possibility that they will be open this summer so if we really want to go to the beach, I guess we could go there since several are just a few minutes away from us. But we are not beach people so we'll probably be okay. Plus I bet a zillion people will have the same idea and there will be no way to social distance lol.

we cancelled our spring break vacation and now haven't booked a summer beach trip or September London and Paris trip. I would be so happy if we could rent a beach house or mountain house this summer--but if we can't, I'm happy for all the great trips we've taken and that we are healthy.
Yeah I guess we could. Those just gross me out and we never did them even when potty training LOL
We stick a diaper in the bottom of the small potty and it’s really no big deal - the diaper soaks up all the pee.
I was coming in to say this- lift the seat of the training potty and spread a diaper in it, then put the seat back down. All waste that would have been in the bowl is now contained in a diaper. Pair with some of those scented arm and hammer or munchkin bags to contain the diaper until you can pitch it. *ETA mine are still in diapers but this is a strategy friends have used.
We were on the edge of buying flights for BILs wedding and held off, good thing since it’s postponed. We were hoping to take a trip of some sort but hadn’t booked anything so at least there are no logistics to figure out. We are hoping we will be able to go back for the holidays this winter- GMIL is now 91 and we haven’t been to that side in a few years for various reasons (just returned from maternity leave, too pregnant to fly, etc).

We had planned to visit family in TX the end of July but had decided we can't/won't leave our dog (his health is very poor). But now, even if he's gone (sob) I won't get on a plane that soon with an infant. And it's way too far to drive.
It sucks that he's at a great, portable age and family are anxious to meet him but my anxiety about airports and planes is still high. Maybe that'll change by July.
Typically we don't vacation in the summer (trips to family are not vacations IMO) so I guess it's good we had no expectations
"Hello babies. Welcome to Earth. It's hot in the summer and cold in the winter. It's round and wet and crowded. On the outside, babies, you've got a hundred years here. There's only one rule that I know of, babies-"God damn it, you've got to be kind.”
Maine is not allowing out of state people in this summer unless they can shelter in place for two weeks once here. Since we’re taking such a huge hit to our economy to keep the virus out, I’m certainly not going out of state, only to possibly bring it in when I return.
So no trips this year unless things really calm down. If that were to happen, and Maine reopened to tourism, we might make a quick trip to see family in the Carolinas.
We still have a trip to Great Wolf Lodge booked for mid-July, but I doubt it will be going ahead. I don’t know when or if GWL will be open, and we have to cross the border anyhow, and who knows when that will reopen?

We had booked a hotel/ticket package at the new Legoland theme park in New York in August for my DS’s 8th birthday, and we were also going to spend a couple of days in Mystic, CT before coming home. Legoland made the call for us - they now aren’t going to open the theme park until 2021. Without that part of the trip, we didn’t feel like there was any point to traveling just to go to Mystic, so I cancelled that hotel reservation, too. At the time the park closure was announced, I hadn’t really contemplated what was going to happen to our travel plans, so it was disappointing but also a relief to not have to choose for myself whether traveling in August is a good plan.
When we booked the Legoland package, we bought cancellation protection that allows us to cancel and get a full refund up to five days before the reservation date. With the park not opening until next year, they are offering to convert our existing two night Microtel hotel stay package to two nights at the new Legoland hotel next year plus $100 credit to spend in the park. Since I booked the cheapest hotel possible and would probably never splurge on the Legoland hotel, I think I will take their offer, pending them releasing the details. I have until mid-August to cancel my reservation.
I haven't cancelled out late August trip to WDW yet. I had purchased tickets for their Halloween party and those are non-refundable, so I am waiting them out to see if I can get the money back for those. My biggest issue with that trip is that we drive from NY to Orlando and stop overnight in a hotel along with bathroom and eating breaks.
We also booked a cruise for next summer and I have friends who are freaking out over me doing that. But there's no way for us to say where we will be in a year and I'd rather get it booked and planned rather than wait and be too late.
We were supposed to go to Wimbledon, which has been my bucket list dream for years. We also were supposed to go to Costa Rica with my extended family and that's cancelled now as well.
But, I think I'm going to take advantage of the current flexible cancelation policies (and cheap prices) to buy tickets to travel over Christmas week.

I was supposed to go to TX to see my parents this summer, which is off now. We also usually do several long weekend type driving trips throughout the summer, which we are skipping as well. We were going to go to Kauai for my 40th in November, but I’d say chances are pretty good we won’t feel comfortable keeping that trip, either.
We have canceled everything. My FIL lives 8 hours away and is chomping at the bit to come visit us and see C, the new house and the new dog. He always comes for her mid April birthday and, obviously, didn’t this year. However, he has not been taking social distance seriously, so I don’t even know when we’ll let him do that. No time soon.

H and I are supposed to take a weekend trip to Hershey, PA, and see a concert while we're there, but I have a feeling that concert will be postponed.
Too soon to decide about our trip to the beach in late August. It will depend on what the government orders are on sheltering in place, whether the beaches are closed, etc.
We did cancel a trip to Colorado in July. I just feel it’s too soon, and don’t want to risk not being able to see the things we want.
We had also planned several camping trips. We aren’t sure on those yet. State parks won’t be open until mid-summer at the earliest. We are thinking about buying a camper (wanted one for a few years but are too cheap) so that we could still go but be able to limit our interactions and not need to use the facilities. There are some isolated campgrounds with lots of state land that we really enjoy and would feel comfortable at as long as we had our own bathroom.
Luckily we did Disney world and a cruise last year. We also saw DHs parents several times so I don’t feel as bad about not seeing them right away.
We don’t have exact dates planned, but we drive 3.5 hours to our condo in NH a few times over the summer. I think we’ll still be comfortable with those plans. The amusement parks that we usually visit (and already bought a season pass to, lol) will likely be closed. But there are enough trails and streams and other outdoor activities that we could keep busy.
It’s a touristy area, so it’s possible there will be a lot of people. If that’s the case, we could hang by the condo which will still be a change of scenery after being in our house for months. There’s a pool and lots of open space for the kids to ride bikes.
We also usually visit Great Wolf Lodge for a few nights. I don’t expect we’ll be do that this year.
We are driving to TN for 5 days and staying at a friends vacation rental. It's a house, we can just hike daily with our kiddo and stay home the rest of the time, just somewhere different than where we've been. It's an easy drive so no need to stop overnight anywhere.
We cancelled our flights to FL for late summer. We haven't cancelled the airbnb yet because I am hoping we can still go and we have until mid July to cancel for a full refund.
We still have our (driving) trip for September scheduled...

We were supposed to take a long weekend trip to Daytona Beach in conjunction with a university camp for my step son at the end of July, but his camp is cancelled, so we cancelled our flights home. We thankfully hadn't booked anything else for it. We may try to schedule a beach trip at some point this summer since it's the kids' happy place, but right now, I'm not sure where. It would definitely be driving distance since I'm not super excited with the idea of flying anywhere for the foreseeable future.
