I need to take a moment to remember those annoying things that have dropped out of life. I haven’t checked my kids hair for lice since at least February.
What little things have you been glad to not deal with?

I’ve been working this whole time, but we’re not seeing customers. The dress code is so lax while our lobby is closed. I love not having to dress up for work every day.
I haven't worn makeup or a real bra since March 13, and may never wear either again.
I have been back to work since May but with masks I figured why bother with makeup. I just put on a little bit of mascara and call it a day. It’s lovely- plus I save time and money

I don't have to worry about going to bed super early to get up by 5am every day to work out.
I don't have to worry/stress about whether my annoying coworker is going to be in the office today. I love not having to share a wall with this woman right now.
I don't have to worry about listening to my music a little too loudly.
I’m back in person at the office and we have a nanny.
I don’t have to worry about dropping kids off at camp and picking them up at aftercare. Or rushing to get them to the bus stop on time. I don’t have to pack lunches or pay the school for lunches. I do have to provide groceries for lunch meals for the nanny to make.
Our dress code is even more relaxed now. I work from home 1 day a week which is nice.
No more elearning (for now until school starts) which is wonderful because it was driving me crazy.
No more managing the calendar so much. We do have appointments still and the occasional play date. But we opted out of sports and everything else. Not as much rushing around. There was so much rushing in our past life and that was me doing less than most families around here.
Whether I'll hit traffic on my way to work, especially when I have a meeting first thing.
If I stay up too late, the alarm isn't going off at 5:30am so it's ok. I can even take a nap if I sleep poorly and struggle to get through the workday because I'm sleepy.
Making personal phone calls during the day. I work in a cubicle and it's always a PITA to make a doctor appointment or whatever because everyone can hear me.
Feeling guilty about leaving my cat home alone too much.
sonrisa I keep thinking about head lice! I have many students with chronic issues and it has been nice not to worry about bugs.
I also have not been wearing makeup. I picked up an at home hair color kit from my hair dresser maybe in April, but need to color again, and have decided not to. I am rough on my color in the summer anyway. Sun. Swimming. Who cares this year!
I haven't packed lunches since February. I can consistently work out. I didn't have to pay for summer care for my oldest three so I was able to comfortably afford carrying two mortgages since we moved in April but don't close on the sale of our old house til Aug 6th. My kids sleep in on the weekend because they also sleep in during the week.
