1. How many rolls of toilet paper do you use in a week (and for how many people)?
2. If you have kids, do you make them eat regular meals if they aren’t hungry?
3. If you have a cat, how often do you fully clean out the litter box?
1. I have no idea. A lot. 9 year old girls require a lot of toilet paper apparently. 3 people. I guess we buy a big pack of Charmin once every 6-8 weeks?
2. If DD isn't hungry I don't force her to eat but if she's not eating much at meal times then it's a sign to me to cut back on snacks. It's generally not an issue now. It was more so during the toddler/preschool years.
@psugrad - I think that is an issue with my hair as well. It is very light, but I typically go darker. I obviously haven't had it colored in months and it is just kind of looking dingy with the lighter roots.
1. How many rolls of toilet paper do you use in a week (and for how many people)?
We have one bathroom and I usually am the one to change the roll so I know this. There are 4 people in our house. Right now, my and DDs (15yo and 9yo) are home all.the.time. DH goes to work daily and is at home nights/weekends. A Costco sized roll can last between 1-2 days.
1. I want to say maybe 2ish? I feel like DH and I use more than the kid, obviously, so maybe 1 in the master bath, one in the powder room and she probably uses 1/2 a roll a week?
I will say, we usually use Costco, but with the pandemic we got what we could and OMG they are terrible. The rolls are thinner, like 1/2 of the holder and seem to go a lot faster than costco. I was so happy to get another pack of costco TP a few weeks ago.
I’m looking in my trash now, and there’s 4 empty rolls of toilet paper since Sunday. It’s gotta be a pandemic things, because my god that’s a lot!
1. No idea, we have 3 bathrooms. There's a TP holder next to the toilet in each one that holds 3 rolls. I just fill it back up when its empty. We have gone through 1.5 costco TPs since the covid TP shortage started and we have 5 people in the house most of the time (SDs go to their moms).
2. Yes. DS is 7 and has severe ADHD. He does not remember to eat, or say that he's hungry. He goes from "I'm fine" to hangry. So I make his lunch when I eat lunch.
Does your (USPS) mail come at the same general time of day most days? Mine has at every place I've lived, but my grandma gets her mail any time between 10 a.m. and 8:30(!) p.m., and from a different mail carrier each day. Just wondering how weird this is.

1. No idea, but we have 7 bathrooms for 2 adults and 2 kids, so it’s difficult to track.
2. DD1 often skips lunch, but eats a good breakfast and a good dinner. They don’t normally do snacks (they are almost 7 and 10, so control what they eat, but they just don’t really eat in between meals) but the oldest might need a bigger snack like an apple with peanut butter or turkey and cheese roll up at 3/4pm.

Yes most of the time. Sometimes we have a substitute mail carrier, and he comes earlier, but normally, same time every day.
1. How many rolls of toilet paper do you use in a week (and for how many people)? Depends on the size of the roll. About 4 double rolls (2 in each bathroom) 4 people
2. If you have kids, do you make them eat regular meals if they aren’t hungry? I wouldn't but they are usually hungry. lol. I have asked them to at least sit at table for family quality/communication time.
3. If you have a cat, how often do you fully clean out the litter box?
Daily. He's a brat and will poop in living room if it's not very clean. lol

1. I would say probably 5 (2.5 bathroom) on average. I never actually paid attention. 2 adults & three 9 year olds.
2. Most days I do but there are days where I just don’t want to deal so I let them get whatever they want.
3. I have one cat and 2 boxes for her that I clean daily (clumping litter). I don’t fully clean out the litter box that often. She pees once or twice a day and poops once. I don’t know if the clumping litter has just gotten better but it cleans up really well so I fully change out the box once a month.
1. My H and I were keeping track when the TP shortage hit (we were fine though, because I always buy TP way earlier than I need to). It's about 2 rolls every 10-14 days - one roll per upstairs bathroom (we have a bathroom in our basement, but we rarely use it, so that's like 1 roll a year).
2. N/A
3. We have a Litter Robot, so it scoops itself automatically every time one of the cats uses it (about 6 minutes later) and my H adds litter when he changes the bag, which is about every 5 days (it puts up an indicator light to say when it needs changed). He takes it all apart to fully clean it about every 6-8 weeks I think. It's his gadget to deal with.
Re: mail. We used to either be on a training route or a route where there was no permanent carrier and we'd have a different string of people all the time, and we never knew when the mail would come. That's changed recently though. We've had our current guy for at least a year now, and most of the time our mail comes in the early afternoon. But some days it still comes late (after 6 pm) - I just assume on the late days they have a lot of packages or something.

1. I have never counted, and it wouldn't matter because my boys and STBXH have their own bathroom and I don't pay attention to their TP consumption.
2. We make them sit with whatever is served (dinner for all of us; usually one of us will make the boys lunch to order (given quite a few parameters, of course). We do not make special meals. If they don't like dinner, they may get themselves some plain yogurt.

Ours comes anywhere between about 12:30 and 5:00, but generally around 3:30. We have different mail carriers all the time because we are a “rural” route.
1-I have no idea, maybe 2 for 2 adults and 1 kid. 2-it’s rare that DS doesn’t eat our evening meal, but if he’s helped himself to a lot of snacks before meal time, we will tell him he can’t have anymore the rest of the night. 3-once every 5-6 weeks probably. I scoop it frequently-so it doesn’t get bad.
This is like a hilarious math problem. The Circa household got a Kirkland 30 pack in March and didn't buy TP again until early July. The family of three people has four bathrooms. The household has two bidets and only one woman. How many rolls of toilet paper did they use each week?
1. I have no idea!!! We get those double rolls so with three of us in the house, I guess maybe it's two at the most, and I pee a lot!
2. I never make him eat. Even breakfast. Some days, he's just not hungry in the morning, I tell him he can eat when he's hungry. He has a pretty healthy diet and finally eating a variety of fruits and vegetables, so I just let him eat whenever he's hungry, much like I do, lol. He's always had a really healthy appetite so it's not an issue.

1. I have no clue
2. They sit with us and eat a little if they want but I don’t make them eat a meal. They mostly feed themselves whatever they want whenever they want.
3. We scoop every day and do a full clean a couple times a year. Not very often. We use really good clumping litter so I don’t feel like there is much left behind.
Q: for those who lost a fair amount of weight (and intended to)-how did you do it?
I lost 70 pounds 1-2 years ago. I ate roughly 1,200 calories every day and that was it. I did not exercise. I was fine on my own for breakfast and lunch, but for dinner we bought meals from a local meal prep company and their dinners were around 400 calories each. I lost 50 in 6 months and the other 20 over another 6 months.
We also use PrettyLitter, which is that crystal stuff.
Do you like this? Is it less dusty then regular litter?
To the OP 1. Probably 1.5-2 rolls a week. Three people. I feel like we’ve been going through it so fast though lately. 2. I follow @kids.eat.in.color for all feeding things. My kid has to sit down with us for as many minutes as she is years old, but doesn’t have to eat. She always ends up eating though. I also do three meals and two snacks so there’s food coming every 2-3 hours, so once she gets down/meal time is over that’s it till next time to eat. 3. I scrub it every month or two. It gets fully emptied once a week.
Q: for those who lost a fair amount of weight (and intended to)-how did you do it?
My mom lost 80lbs over the course of a year and 3 months. She used weight watchers to kickstart her change of eating habits and did water aerobics (for seniors) at the local YWCA for about a year until it was too hard for her to walk around. (She’s having hip replacement surgery on Monday). In the 6 months since she stopped going to the Y for exercise, she’s continued to lose weight just with diet. It was pretty amazing to see the transformation. She went from a size 24/26 to a size 18.
In my own journey, I’ve lost 15-20 lbs since December of 2019 by cutting out white rice, chicken and incorporating more vegetarian foods into my diet. I also walkfor an hour 4 days a week as exercise.

I think it is - we like it a lot. I buy it in bulk about twice a year.

My house has 7 rooms total. I am trying to imagine a house with 7 bathrooms. Is your house a mansion? Do you keep any of the bathrooms closed off?

We have 6 bathrooms. Our house was built in 1917 and was rented out to British officers and their families during the British occupation of India before Indian independence. It’s actually a challenge now to use all the bathrooms/ showers regularly to make sure the pipes are in working order.
