Wow, that's a long time, I wasn't expecting that! I'm thankful he's doing this to ease the minds of millions, so he can focus on other more pressing things before coming back to a final decision on what to do about it all.
I am just so relieved that he's gone. He's GONE, finally. The last four years felt like an eternity, but I never could have imagined how long November-to-January felt. Up until he left, I wasn't sure he was going to.
I feel lighter already and Team Biden/Harris hasn't even officially been sworn in yet. I am looking forward to actually taking some joy in today.
did they just say that Pence is at the Catholic church with the Bidens?
Yes. We have a president now who actually put out a schedule beyond "he will have many calls and meetings". Somebody on Twitter said it felt like a Cheesecake Factory menu after the last four years.
One of the first things on it was church. I believe that Pence, Pelosi, Schumer, McConnell and McCarthy were on the list of people who accepted the invite. So Biden is already a bigger person than Trump ever was (or that I could be, TBH).
Where are you streaming coverage if you don't have a TV provider? CNN, MSNBC, PBS, C-Span all want me to sign in with my TV provider after about 10 minutes. This is 2021! I don't have a TV provider!
First lady Melania Trump did not write her own "thank you" notes to the White House residence staff who have cared for her and her family for the last four years, according to two sources with knowledge of the notes and Trump's handling of them.
The 80 or so staff who received the type written notes were under the assumption the first lady had written them herself. Instead, Trump tasked a lower-level East Wing staffer with writing them "in her voice," and she signed her name.
