OK it sounds like double masking is my best bet. Maybe with a cloth mask over the surgical mask, it would stay in place.
I have a fat face, so I don't think it's an issue of the disposable mask being too big. I definitely would not be able to twist the ear loop and have it fit. I have just not found any mask, even cloth ones, that have that shape of like being straight across to work for me. The ones that stay put on me kind of come up to a point on the bridge of my nose.
The N95s and Kn95s I linked above have little wire pieces in this nose. For some reason I found that even though surgical masks have that part too, they always ride up, I too have a wide face. So I double mask with N95 and surgical mask over, reusing the N95
And thank you again everyone for all your tips and ideas and help with this.
I was barely able to sleep last night, I am so nervous and anxious and scared about this. I have barely gone anywhere except my house, my empty classroom where we have to teach remote and the outdoors. We are hoping to get the vaccine here starting in Feb so I might be fully vaccinated by March sometime. I am going to be so pissed if I end up getting Covid right now because they brought us back. I'm trying to do everything I can to take precautions even though my school doesn't really care.

Hang in there! I think many of us have been there after routines have been disrupted. I remember my first weeks back on the crowded subway last year, it was a little nerve wracking, especially with the non-maskers and people who pull down their masks to cough or sneeze. But now it’s just a new normal and I don’t give it a 2nd thought. If you continue to have anxiety without being able to sleep def reach out to your doctor for help as well. Wishing you a healthy return to school!

FWIW my husband, sister, and brother in law are all in person teachers all day everyday (no hybrid) and they wear masks, two wear old navy adjustable strap masks and one wears disposable from Costco. They’ve been teaching in person since September, were in Houston suburbs so pretty big hot spot and they’ve had no exposures. None of them liked their faceshields.

I have taught preschool in person since September. Definitely no distancing with 3 year olds. I wear an N-95 mask. I ordered from here safety1stppe.com/product/3m-9205-n95-particulate-respirator-masks-10-count/ You are able to order just 10 or up to 200. The kids are in various cloth masks. We wash hands rigorously.
We had one student with covid (family exposure) and there was no in-class spread. The masks work! In fact this is the healthiest class that I have ever taught.

Good Luck! It will feel strange to be back so just give yourself time to adjust to your new routine. When you are teaching, you won’t have time to think and I think that you will enjoy being around people again.
The stressful part is when there are cases and you have been in some sort of contact. Then you have a few days when you have doubts/nervousness if you have been exposed or not and then you are fine until the next case pops up

(((Hugs))) I hope you stay healthy and get the vaccine soon.
To answer your question, I wear the face shield with glasses and it doesn’t fog up for me. Bonus, when I don’t need it I can flip it up like a pair of sunglasses on my head and I don’t leave it anywhere.
