Our province recently announced that teachers and other front line workers will be eligible to be vaccinated starting in April. I am neither, but I am very happy for those who are.
I get to see a dear friend tonight! Yay! Our household is fully vaccinated - last dose over two weeks ago. The friend got her first dose 1.5 weeks ago.
She's coming over to hang out and knit. So nothing crazy, but it's been ages since I've been able to see her for longer than a couple masked minutes. So excited!
I haven't had a lot to get excited about lately... this week I signed up for Misfits Market, and my first order arrived today. And I am thrilled!! I ordered the $35 box, and I would have easily spent more than $60 at the store for everything I got. It was so much fun to unpack and put away.
AND it will mean less time I have to spend grocery shopping (my least favorite chore).
Maybe it's a little silly to get this excited over produce, but it's literally the only thing that has had me feeling genuinely good/excited in weeks 😊

But what was IN the box? Way to leave out the best part!

lol 😆 so much good stuff! Honeycrisp apples, oranges, mangoes (!), Kale, broccoli, cauliflower, fennel, carrots, celery, zucchini, and red bell peppers.
I had an apple and peanut butter sandwich for lunch yesterday. Haven't had one in years, and it was so good! I'm glad I'm excited about this because it's a lot of food. But I'm actually looking forward to eating it.
ETA: It all looks really good too. The apples and oranges are small but the perfect size for me. Everything else looks like something you'd find in a grocery store. Absolutely nothing wrong with it.
SwimDeep, wow, so awesome! I might have to look into that! Is it national, or specific to where you live? I live in the mid-Atlantic. I too get geeked out by amazing produce (I eat a lot of it!).

my box shipped from North Carolina. They're website asks you to enter your zip code first to make sure they ship to your area before you buy anything. I have a code I can share if you'd like $10 off 🙂

They do(!)--and the price is so reasonable. I love that you can do every week or every other week. I'd love a code--thank you!

For me, I feel like I'm startingto finally get out of my "rut". In Jan, I hit a new low of burnt out and dropped everything (college, volunteer work, etc.). I'm starting to want to do things again now that I don't feel overwhelmed and it's been nice to slowly get back into it while setting some boundaries.
