food gifts - sounds odd -but Omaha Steaks - they have crock pot meals that freeze as well as lighter options (it is disappointing when someone gets a box that says steaks and there aren't any....)
out of town birthdays: Milk Bar cakes/cookies
teens - depending on how close we are to them - their age in dollars
Funny gifts - WTF notebooks, water bottles, wine, wine glasses with fun sayings
Someone in my area does amazing custom gifts, including plush throw blankets that can have images or writing on them, like signatures/ written names of all the grandkids in the corner. I went in on a teacher gift and that’s my new go-to gift for grandmas.
For meal trains I usually do enchiladas or lasagna for a freezer meal, but my preference is to do store bought stuff like salad kits, fruit/veggie/charcuterie board, breakfast/ lunch stuff or snacks if other people are signed up for heavy meals.
For kids gifts, I like the LCD drawing boards and the game Find It because most of it’s integral / can’t get lost or make a mess.
For friends/sisters, I pick up cute fashion earrings and basically anything I love for an impulse buy and save it in a gift bin then decide who to give it to later.
