I make the vast majority of our pizzas, but I usually do a 14-16" pizza for H, 13yoDS and me, and a small white sauce pizza for 11yoDD.
We also do upside down pizzas in 6" individual "pans"- those are really filling because they can hold a lot of toppings. And sometimes we make individual pizzas and grill them.
So yeah, I don't think a single 12" frozen pizza would get us very far in this house!
What ate upside down pizzas and how do you make them? Sounds intriguing!

We make one for us but our kids are little and don’t like pizza (crazy) so we force them to eat 1/8 and Dh and I split 3/4 of it. Since Covid, we’ve been making them for lunch and splitting it in half and the kids get something else.

Well, it started when we used a credit to buy two sets of these on a whim:
Essentially, you fill the pan with toppings and use the cutter to cut a circle of dough to drape over the pan, bake it at 450F, and flip it over onto a plate. It's sort of a deep dish pizza, but the crust is crisp and thinner than DD pizzas tend to be. After some time, 3 of the 4 pans rusted (not dishwasher safe), so I looked for alternatives- and just could not find anything with this shape/size with flat sides and no handles (they'd get in the way of the crust that hangs over the top). So, I spent a weekend in the garage with some clay and measurements, and made my own- they work even better! Then I learned that people have used various bowls and pans and ramekins for the same damned thing long before these pans were around, and I've seen tons of suitable replacements- so that's what I'd recommend, especially if you already have something suitable! They're just about 6" in diameter, and an inch and a half tall, but you can flex those dimensions- just keep it reasonably tall, straight sided, and no handles that jut out (interior handles- pushed into the sides- would be fine). I want to say the cutter is 9" in diameter, but I can check if you'd like (I still use it!).
This product is by Pizzacraft, and the set of two pans+ cutter runs around $15. They do work- you really need to EVOO the sides generously and never let them sit in water (or accidentally put them through the dishwasher). The little handle on the bottom is awesome, it's the one thing I miss sometimes (I have to shove a fork down a side to lift the dish up out of the crust, and it sometimes cracks the side of the crust- so not ideal). I put feet on mine, so I can sometimes shake it loose with those- but I will make some changes in that regard if/when I make more.
I make sides to go with pizza. It can be a side salad, steamer veggie bags that goes in the microwave, and I serve fruit. We're trying to be healthier by serving a fruit and vegetable side at 2 meals a day.
It’s been ages since DH and I bought frozen pizza. I don’t know why we got out of the habit. Now, we just have it delivered. And we definitely pick the pizza place with the best salad because I love pizza and the only way I can avoid eating ALL THE PIZZA is a good salad to go with it. That's not a hardship for me - someone chopping and prepping a salad for me is heavenly.
We prefer the thin crust/brick oven style. H and I can share one thin crust frozen pizza. We normally get two for the three of us and keep the leftovers.
But, lol, no, we are not that family where each person takes one tiny slice of frozen pizza and eats like a huge salad on the side. We eat frozen pizza because sometimes we just want to eat carbs and cheese with no veggies and no effort.
^ Everything is served on a big plate in the middle of the table. I do the same on taco night, when we have sandwiches, quesadillas, or any other "finger food" type of lunch or dinner.
If I'm serving a frozen pizza, I probably don't have a salad in the fridge. I might have a head of lettuce, but I find slicing an apple, chopping up a carrot, etc., easier than fixing a salad.
This is where bags of salad come in handy. Cut open, dump on plate or in bowl, add dressing, you're done! Although I will admit, we often do baby carrots as our veggie side on pizza night.
Dh and I eat one pizza together, no salad. We usually have a couple of glasses of wine, so that is some extra calories. We usually get Newman's frozen pizza, and keep it around for nights when we home late, sick, or for the kids, if DH and I are going out, which we hopefully will again soon, now that we are vaccinated.
We tried just about every frozen pizza last year and came to the conclusion that Newman's is the best. We do one pizza for the two of us to share. I had 6 of them in my freezer last week b/c they were 2/$10 at the grocery store
If we order out, it's Domino's homemade pan pizza and we get two pizzas because the leftovers heat up really good.

yes, we make one pizza and usually have a quarter left over. The kids typically eat with oven fries and some veggie. I have one, DS2 has one. DS1 might have 2 and DH has 2. We make a wild mikes frozen pizza.
If we are getting real restaurant pizza the kids will generally eat more, but not with frozen.

I buy the Monteli brand frozen pizza crusts at TJ's and add the toppings, not sure how big they are - under 12" I think? H is a BIG eater but usually he's fine with having half of that. It yields 2 big slices each. DD doesn't like pizza (weirdo). If I'm making a regular plain cheese/margherita pizza I'll make us salads but I tend to load them up with fun toppings. Last week I did a alfredo pizza with shredded chicken and broccoli, other times I do cheese with chicken sausage from TJ's with broccoli & peppers. I'm thinking of a buffalo chicken pizza for this Friday. It's become a fun way to get rid of stuff in my fridge!

We do 1 freezer pizza for the 2 of us or we'll do 2 fresh pizza's. We put them on the grill though. Even the freezer type pizza's go on the grill and it give a better taste. Usually we just have drinks with it though.
I grew up eating frozen pizza on Friday nights. I'm the youngest of five kids. There were easily 4 pizzas made. Sides were raw veggies & apple slices.
We don't do frozen pizza in my house. My H makes excellent homemade pizza and ruined frozen pizza. No regrets. :D
We bought a propane-fired outdoor pizza oven for Christmas, and it’s ah-mazing. And when you figure in time for the oven to pre-heat, it’s a actually faster than doing a frozen pizza and we each get to pick our own toppings.
