I have been doing far more stuff than you in general, but yes I am comfortable with this. I am actually signed up to be an usher there again and am looking forward to ushering that show! I think it is supposed to be good. The usher training I went to made it sound as safe as it possibly can be. Not no risk, but low. Especially since local COVID numbers aren't too bad anyway.
Yeah, I’ve been going to outdoor things/friend’s houses and of course stores/businesses but not theaters for hours! It has been a long time since I’ve been in a crowd.
It looks like they aren’t allowing food/drink in the theater now which I prefer anyway! It’s so distracting.
Maybe we will see each other!
I think that is correct for the Broadway shows! I agree it is distracting and unnecessary to eat during a play anyway. I am ushering Saturday night!
I've noticed a trend of people doing this. Posting collages for someone else's birthday and they themselves are in every picture. I know one person who posts some glowing bullshit every year about her brother being her rock and her everything. Every single time it's a gorgeous picture of her and her brother half hidden behind her, or not even looking at the camera. This year his face was blurry!
Ohhhh, this reminds me!! I can out petty the original poster, lol. I have a friend that always posts a Happy Birthday post in this way- collages where I feel like the pics she chooses are very unflattering of me, but super flattering of herself. So, because of that, I since made it that I have to approve timeline picture posts and I don't approve her Happy Birthday posts anymore. lollll
Haha!! I don't think YOU'RE the petty one in that scenario!!
I got up "early" so I could do my 200th Peloton ride with Bradley, and I finally got a shout-out that is recorded and preserved in class. All my other shout-outs have been pre-class, so I'm feeling dorky and excited that I can redo the class to hear it again if I want. Then I did my long workout today instead of tomorrow like I normally would. I'm kind of beat. And hungry. But I really need a shower first.
I also want to give myself a mani-pedi today. I bought myself some Halo Taco for my birthday, and I want to rock some Cosmic Unicorn Skin.
I’m so jealous! I love Bradley and he is totally my boyfriend in my mind.
My random question... do high schoolers know how to type? I have a new high school intern on my team, our jobs are HEAVILY computer-based, and I have noticed his lack of keyboard skills. Will he get better as he goes to college and uses a laptop more often for classes?
For example, he did not know what the Home key was. (Microsoft keyboard shortcuts are important in our work.) We'll definitely help him out since learning is a huge point of doing an internship. I'm more just generally curious if this is more common in this next generation that grew up on phones and tablets (versus physical keyboards) and iOS and Android (versus Windows and MacOS).
I’ve been typing for decades, took a class in middle school way back when, and have extensive experience on PCs and Macs…and I have never in my life used a Home key. I don’t even know what it does. What does it do?
If shortcuts are important, then maybe help him out with a list of the most common ones. I bet he learns them pretty quickly.
This is suuuuuper petty olympics. DH's birthday was this week. I often post about his sister who doesn't invite us to stuff. She "forgot" to invite us to her daughter's b-day party later this month, and is now making a huge production of asking if we're going (after she later invited us). She posted a big photo collage on FB wishing DH HBD, and included several photos. Not a single one included myself. I know who cares, but we've taken plenty of photos together at the events she posted. Sorry not sorry we're not going to your party next weekend.
My mother does this for my kids' birthdays. Like--lady, you see them so infrequently, Wes has forgotten WHAT YOU LOOK LIKE and you live 45 minutes away. Miss me with your "doting grandma" bullshittery.
I can always out-petty ANYONE, lol.
This is my stepmom. She never posted them before my mom got sick, but over the last year she will repost my pics of the kids or stuff my mom had tagged her in with some comment about how much she loves being a grandma etc.
She has seen them a total of 4 times in 1 year despite living 25min away. The boys talk about my mom most days but NEVER bring up stepmom 😂

That’s the night I’m going! I’ll keep an eye out for you!

I went to a show in DC last week that did have food/drink available, and I think 99% of the people used it as an excuse to take their mask off the whole time, because they have an empty beer in front of them. So this is a good call!
That’s exactly what I would expect would happen and why I’ve avoided indoor concerts. Apparently the theater will have eating/drinking zones outside the auditorium.
