I’m at the cardiologist for my weird heart rate and dizziness when changing from sitting to standing and I’m worried they’re just going to tell me to lose weight.

My weekend away with friends was really lovely- stopped at a winery for lunch and a couple of farm stores on our way to the house on Saturday, watched a couple of movies, and ate fancy snacks for dinner. Sunday we had a lazy morning with cinnamon rolls and mimosas, went for a short hike, and then everyone just did whatever they wanted for the afternoon- I made myself a cute little cheese plate for lunch and read while I ate, did yoga, read more, and took a long shower. Then we went out to dinner, and then I read until I fell asleep. And then we came home Monday and I spent the rest of the day tidying the house, grocery shopping, prepping food for the week, doing laundry, etc. Sigh.
DS was all sniffly with watery eyes yesterday evening and this morning. I'm 90% sure it's allergies since it's been so warm and pollen counts are up, so we restarted allergy meds and I gave him a decongestant to hopefully dry it up a little faster. Still waiting for that phone call from school though :/
Good luck, Bernadine. It sucks that weight is the easy excuse for so many doctors, I hope that they actually listen to you and your symptoms.
It snowed for like 2 seconds this morning. It was pretty while it lasted, now back to rain and disturbingly warm temps. My crocuses are already blooming and my other spring flowers aren't far behind.

There's a lawn I pass four times a day most days (dropping Lucy off and picking her up from the bus) and it's just covered in crocuses. It makes me so happy
My youngest got her drivers license finally (she didn’t want her permit at 15, so waited until she was 16.5 to get it. So was 17 when she got her license.)
She will graduate high school sometime this week. Maybe today! Wild! I’m so proud of her and how hard she’s worked!
My older kids are doing well. My oldest will start college classes in the fall, and my middle one is in school currently. She just got back from NY fashion week, and is living her best life.
Idk who all remembers the struggles I had with them, but man, it feels good knowing we made it!
Things had been really weird with my boyfriend and I around Christmas time, for various reasons, but we are finally back on track, and we worked through a lot of our issues.
I was going to visit my parents and daughter and her fiancée this weekend, but rescheduled because I guess they’re getting a big snowstorm.
Good luck today Bernadine, I hope you get some answers.
DD is off from school this week, but her aftercare is open full days today-fri, they have a ton of fun stuff planned including snow tubing. I took a few days off so I can catch up on life and chores. Yesterday we went on a day trip to a space museum and planetarium, DD had a lot of fun. I renewed my passport and am trying to get DD's, I want to do some trips in the next few years. I really thought getting it would entail going to court and estimated it'd be at least a year to get everything in order. Shockingly, after exh ignored my first email, he replied to my followup (from my burner email) actually confirmed he is sending the paperwork! We might actually get her passport in time for my August vacation. I decided to price out a Mediterranean cruise, I've never been on a cruise and my only international travel has been to Canada, I'm so excited at the possibility of going somewhere outside the US.
I'm back at work today but I'm WFH Thursday and off Friday so it'll be a nice short week. It's spring break for the students so super quiet around here. Traffic was also a lot lighter, which was a bonus.
I'm starting to think about my 40th birthday in July. Ideally I'd like to take a 2 week international vacation, but I don't see that happening for a variety of reasons. So now I'm trying to think one week or less and domestic and considering Northern California to see the redwoods. I just want a solid chunk of time in a peaceful, beautiful place.
I've had a frustrating morning so far. I learned that the first leg of my flight to SF changed to a 5:40am departure time (was scheduled for 9:40am!) which causes a 5 hour layover. No thanks . Hope I can change it.
Then I had to call the doctor's billing office. I overpaid a bill, got a refund, and now they're billing me again.
and THEN I realized something I did yesterday (my mid-year review) didn't save. I hate doing these to begin with and now I have to do it all over again.
I mentioned yesterday that my kid is on Intersession from school and is not happy about having to do the camp through school this week even though it's all fun stuff. Well yesterday they went to a Nature Center and even though she claimed it was "NOT fun" she didn't stop talking about it all evening and then wrote about it in her journal (she read it to us after - we didn't ask to see her journal) LOL.
Because it's Intersession a number of friends in the district are traveling and I'm living vicariously through their posts - I wish we were traveling this break too but it just wasn't in the cards for us this time.
They are doing some underground cable(?) work in our neighborhood (not really sure what for) so the went through and put flags for all the things already buried and the entire neighborhood is covered in colorful flags - all except for a few yards which of course includes ours so I'm fairly certain they'll dig in our yard. Which I normally wouldn't care about but I kind of do this time because we had a huge $$$$$ landscaping project done last spring. I know they do try to clean up and plant grass after they are done but I'm irrationally annoyed that my yard is potentially going to be dug up again
I don’t normally watch the morning shows, but P!nk has been on Today all morning and I’m here for it. She is so amazing.
I’m getting my hair done this afternoon. I don’t really have the budget for it right now, but it needs fixing. My hair is to my waist and I normally do highlights. I decided back in January that I wanted to be all over brown and attempted to dye it brown, but because my hair is so long, I didn’t have enough dye so it’s been a very bad DIY Balyage since then. I’m not getting any length off, but I plan on getting lots of layers and bangs.
I have a physical this afternoon and other than a very long, not mobile friendly questionnaire (with some really really weird questions on it), no one has mentioned any bloodwork for the appointment. I'm obvioulsy not fasting for a 2pm appointment, but like, doesn't a physical include baseline bloodwork? I really don't want to have to schedule bloodwork after the appointment then wait to get called about my results.
Oh well I'm really only there for my hormonal headaches because OTC isn't working and to ask about my sudden increase in heartburn randomly.

My 14 year old played men's hockey last night. He had practice before their game and they needed a goalie and offered him $30. He had a blast, but when I told him recently he needs to start looking for a job, this was not what I meant...lol.
I took a sick day today and I feel guilty because we just had a long weekend...but I am really sick! I rarely take a sick day but always feel like everyone must think I am faking it when I do, yet I would never think that about someone else.
My week, the window slipped out of position on my 3 month old car, I sprained my ankle and my kid dropped my phone and destroyed the screen.
I am still having to work from home as I cant walk on my ankle much. It doesnt help that I already have bad balance due to my MS. I feel like a disaster. At least tomorrow is a public holiday due to Ash Wednesday so I dont have to get the kids up in the morning.

They must have a hard time filling that role. My bf hockey league is pretty expensive but if they commit to playing goalie every game it’s free.
Idk enough about hockey (other than it’s fun to watch) to know why that is.

This is so my pet peeve about well visits too! I've switched PCPs a few times in recent years and none of them will do blood work prior to the appt. I asked about it one time and they said it is because they may add more blood tests based on the visit and they don't want me to have to twice. I have no problem going twice and I'd much rather have the initial test results for the basic tests (cholesterol, glucose, thyroid, etc) before the visit so we can actually discuss them! I actually wonder if it is a new strategy to increase their billing, because now if I want to discuss the results of the standard tests after the well visit, I have to make a follow up appointment which gets billed again. It is annoying, both H and I had high test results and the follow up from the dr. was a form letter with generic advice I could get from google.

I mean, I can imagine that standing in one spot and having pucks flying at your face and having to get in front of them would be less fun than skating around the rink lol
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
