Lurker here…I started floating a couple of years ago. I’m glad that your first experience was so good! It takes a bit of practice to learn how to find the meditative sweet spot. I learned (the hard way) not to have caffeine before hand. I literally bounced off the sides of the pod that visit. The magnesium in the Epsom salt is soooooo good for you. Due to the magnesium and the relaxation, I typically sleep so well the night after a float.
If you have fibromyalgia, some float centers offer a 50% discount if you being in proof of your diagnosis. It is worth looking into.
Oh yeah, the website said to not have caffeine prior to 2 hours before your float. It was a rough morning for me since my appointment was at 8, lol!

I don’t think I could relax, but I’m glad some people can.
I do feel less claustrophobic about the idea seeing the second picture. I was picturing floating upright in a 6 foot deep tank with 2 feet of space above my head.

Cool! My suggestion is to not worry about thinking. Let the thoughts come but also don't focus on them. Allow them to be and imagine them just floating there with you. I've been doing mindfulness stuff for years and my brain keeps thoughts coming, which is normal and okay. I just keep bringing my mind back to my breathing and allow the thoughts to exist.
