Even if you and partner are positive you can still have a negative child! I keep seeing this repeated. Even from the baby nurse who had otherwise excellent info.
That child wouldn't be tested with a positive mom, but if female, would be a future concern if she wants to become pregnant which they'd deal with at the time.

FWIW, I did an Eldoncard on DD, she is O+ (like me)- so I guess that wasn't why she had jaundice after all. I'll try to remind her that her babies should be typed at birth, for those waaaaay in the future maybe babies, LOL.
DS gave blood Friday, but they don't tell you on the spot anymore here- he should know by Monday.

Where did the baby nurse say this? It was mentioned quite early in the thread but it’s definitely not something that’s been repeated…
Yes, because my husband and I have the same blood type, as does she.
(ETA: we're O+ and I'm 90% sure my daughter is also O+, although I know my mom is O- since she had a rhogam shot either after I was born or when she was pregnant with my brother, and he has a different blood type than she does.)
I always crack up when people (people IRL not here) say they know their blood type because they did a lab in HS science class. Ma'am. They are not going to take your word based on a test you may or may not have done correctly when you were a HS sophomore LOL
They don't even take the word of your medical records. If a patient comes in and they need blood or before a surgery they will always do a type and cross while giving you O if it's a true emergency. Even if you've previously had a type and cross done it will be repeated every time you need or may need blood, it's standard of care. So the index card of superiority parenting the poster on page 1 uses is completely useless.

Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus
