They thought that I had pertussis at some point during my treatment and asked if I knew if I was vaccinated. I asked my Mom and she said yes, she carries all of our cards in her purse. Apparently she moves them from purse to purse because she will never lose them that way? She's an odd duck.
Mine? lol. no. Those vaccines are 6 intercontinental moves back. If it didn't happen at Kaiser, (ie. since 2009) it doesn't exist.
ETA: I do have a copy of my certificate of birth abroad, my marriage license and some other documents. But nothing about my health.
I know I'm quoting myself here, but I just realized I have never seen my actual birth certificate, and only have the document issued by the consulate/embassy saying I exist. Huh. So yeah. No clue where I'd find the vaccinations - which would have been spread over at least two different countries.

Maybe it’s a mom thing? I was shocked my mom still had ours.

My mom probably has them because she keeps everything.
But I remember that the hepatitis B vaccine was required for college at least as far back as the late ‘90s. I got mine the summer before my freshman year. So it’s highly likely you got it if you attended university.
That said, I agree that checking titers is the right answer here.

I had this problem recently. I called my high school and they had all my medical records. My college has my MMR record. I now have the WHO yellow booklet to keep everything I got after 2010.
Yes. My mom is a nurse and at one point was a vaccination nurse. Not only are my records complete, but I'm also "very well" vaccinated according to the nurse that did my last booster.

I know I had my handwritten records when I changed from a pedi to regular internist as an adult and they recorded my vaccines. Then I moved and switched to my current doctor (this was 20+years ago) and had my records transferred to her. Even so, when I restarted school and they needed that info, she ran titers and determined I needed an MMR booster at that time. I vaguely remember needing the hep B series too, so maybe I hadn’t had that?
No. My pediatrician’s records facility burned down. I actually had to get a bunch of my vaccines re-done in order to graduate from law school because I had no proof of being vaccinated.

Not every mom. My mom loses EVERYTHING. Every year of my childhood I had a lost Christmas gift become a birthday present when she eventually found it again.

I would think we're all well vaccinated! Unless you've been vaccinated for more exotic illnesses.
I am also wondering how I made it well into adulthood without someone requiring me to get the Hep B series! Glad I was able to get it!
Ok douche, go ahead and call it mud. My husband DID have halitosis. We addressed it after I talked to you girls on here and guess what? Years later, no problem. Mofongo, you're a cunt. Eat shit. ~anonnamus

I may be your mother 😂.
Same! I am so bad about this. My kids got Peep toothpaste in June. I found it when grabbing DS’ birthday gifts I hid from myself.
Yes I worked at a hospital and needed to prove my vaccination status. My mom was able to find my records. Oddly enough there was one shot (maybe MMR) that we couldn't find the record of the shot when I was 1 so I had to get an additional shot lol. I know I had it because I needed it for college. Anyways, I now have the document.

I was vaccinated for things before they became the norm for my age group or before they were "due", I think meningitis, Gardasil, Yellow Fever (that was for travel), and Hep A. All common but not always for my age group.
No, and this really bothers my mom! She insists she gave me my little blue vaccination book, and I do remember seeing it at her house over the years, but I have no idea where it is. I don't really care, but she has a thing about losing stuff, so I feel guilty for causing her distress.
Your state should have an immunization information system. Not all doctors participate, but there's a pretty good chance they are there, especially if the doctor's office is still open. Try contacting your local or state health department if you can't access it yourself. Otherwise, you can have titers drawn.
As an aside, immunization compliance is a huge part of my job and I have had to track down records from all over the country. People are always surprised by what has been digitized. Contacting your old high school usually can get you your childhood vaccines or your college if you lived in a dorm. Employee files (many require vaccine records), old travel visa paperwork and state immunization databases in any state you previously lived in. Some states will upload all of your immunizations (even if they occurred out of state) and others will only upload ones done in that state.
oh hi, job twin! This is literally my job as well.

I actually do. My parents gave it to me when I got married along with my birth certificate and baptism certificate. I'm not sure what they thought the latter was good for as it was Methodist which doesn't really care about my atheist ass.
They were eventually recorded in medical military (spouse) record. That print out was good enough to start nursing school where it's obviously important. Also in the record is a titre showing immunity to chicken pox. For awhile attached to that was a chest x-ray that ruled out tb. That's good for 5 years.
I have never laid eyes upon it, although I guess my parents had it for when I was in school and for college.
I do remember getting the Hep B vaccine in middle school with my class. And they didn’t use a needle, they shot a puff of gas or something through your skin. Anyone else remember that?
